Mid-afternoon lunch of the freshest seafood platter with salad and delicious dressing and a dleicately poached salmon salad. Portions were generous and attentive service very friendly. A shared portion of Pear and Honey cake and a robust machiatto rounded the meal off nicely.
It has been a while since I was here for coffee and cake.
We had left it a little late but found that they were happy to welcome clients will 5 pm (most cafes might not be happy to have you in after 4 pm)...More
Catching up with elderly family in the area this place never fails to disappoint.
The soup of the day as ever was devine, and as for the smoked venison.... definitely worth the 700mile drive :)
High recommend for a quick brew or light lunch.
The food is lovely here and the homeware in the shop great but the service can leave a lot to be desired. Visited recently and the place was almost empty. Got given the menu but then had to wait and wait and wait while the...More

Lovely place in Aboyne. Good choice of food and caters for food intolerances too. Service was reasonably good and staff very accomodating. Was very busy at time of being there but didn't detract from the quality of service
Love popping out to Aboyne to visit this place. The food is homemade and always great, staff are friendly and the shop is great for a wander around. This is definitely a must visit for anyone in Aboyne.
To think the same owner has had the place for almost 30 years and has always maintained such high standards. Cakes of which the owner bakes himself are always the best and the owner is such a lovely guy. Place always busy and the owner...More
