Brilliant family beach. Everything children and adults could wish for. Looking forward to Weymouth carnival - highlight of the year. Average prices for meals, drinks not so expensive as Bournemouth. Go down to the old harbour and sit in one of the public houses and...More

Soft sandy beach with mostly clear water that we could see a group of small fish swimming around. And when the tide was higher, we would have to walk on pebbles but they were pretty small that we didn't feel them hurting our bare feet....More

A good beach, but I suspect I may be a tad introspective for so busy a spot. There is plenty to do- pedaloes, punch and judy, even donkeys to ride- with the usual arcades and pier available, and all as cheerful as chips.

I.live in Weymouth and am lucky to have this marvellous beach to go to. It is shallow for ages. Making it safe for swimming and children. Plenty of cafes and kiosks to grab some refreshments. Enjoy

Childhood memories of Weymouth beach lived up to expectations: clean, fine, silky sand and a shallow walk into the calm sea.

Beautiful beach with really soft sand ! Dog Beach right down far end of the Bay towards the Pavillion. Stunning views across the Bay of the Jurassic coastline. Plenty of hotel, bars and restaurants along the Bay with added bonus of a pedestrianised shopping street.

Weymouth beach is lovely, great for the kids, nice and clean. Just reminds me of the old seaside with deck chairs along the front you can sit and watch the day away.

A stunning beach, clean golden sand, warm sea, easy to get too fantastic atmosphere. Not tacky, does have a billion pensioners shuffling around like the walking dead but overall a beautiful beach and a truly lovely place.

We park up at Nothe Fort and walk down to the harbour. From there you can either walk beside the harbour and over the bridge to the beach or get the little ferry across to the beach side (costs 50p a person) well worth it... More
