Absolutely fantastic. Nervous at the start as I have never rode a JetSki before.
We went as a couple on 1 JetSki and was great. The 2 hrs went too quick.
You can get changed there and leave your belongings there securley.

Wow, miss this at you or peril if you like a bit of water thrill action. My Director of Logistics and Event Management, booked a friend and I in for an hours jet skiing as part of my Birthday weekend. All necessary kit provided by the team at JJT (wetsuit and buoyancy jacket), with all sorts of sizes to cater for all types (I’m 110kg, so not exactly svelt!!

Before you head out the guys give a comprehensive safety brief, mixed with a bit of humour to settle even the most apprehensive into the session. Then a short walk down to the pontoon on the quayside and a brief on how to handle your ski before bumbling out of Weymouth harbour and I to the bay. Then the fun really starts! The conditions on our session were superb: clear blues skies, 20c with a 10-15mph breeze creating a small bit of chop. We headed at full throttle over to Durdle Door following g our guide who claimed he wouldn’t be caught, and he didn’t lie. After a brief stop in the emerald blue waters of DD with photos taken by our by our guide (later sent to us via WhatsApp) we blasted back to Weymouth and to the harbour.

Back at the JJT base, wetsuits off and shower taken, it was time to depart on our next weekend adventure.

All in, the session lasted about an hour, more than enough to get your kicks.

For anyone thinking of something a bit different and a great way to see the Jurassic Coast, miss JJT at your peril! This will be the first booking of many.

Cheers to the JJT team

Had an amazing trip out to durdle door. The jet skis were almost brand new and in perfect condition. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Changing facilities are on site and they provide wetsuits. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for some adrenaline

These guys are amazing :)

I brought a double rider gift voucher for my boyfriends 50th birthday so I could tag along with him as I knew I wouldn't have felt brave enough on my own.
I have a stupid irrational fear of the sea and I was quite nervous on the way out to Durdle Door but heading back to the harbour I was much more relaxed.

Next year I hope to ride on my own as my boyfriend will definitely do it again. Thoroughly recommend it to others

So looked forward to our tour however JJT provided us with a machine that couldn’t keep pace with our group exiting Weymouth harbour…
Upon reaching open sea our machine became uncontrollable & we were advised by our 18 year old instructor to apply more power.
This didn’t work.
Our concerns fell upon deaf ears with our instructor & JJT upon our return.
When I wrote a previous review JJT advised we were a double rider & the rest of our group were solo riders…
Not true….
We were all double riders!
They offered a patronising explanation placing any blame with their machine firmly at our door & even advised I follow their advice on future trips & all will be ok.
We’ll ride again but NOT with JJT as in my opinion they’ll take your money & give you a dangerous machine to ride on open water…
Good luck….

Hi David. Thanks again for your feed back. You’re the first terrible/negative review in the whole 7 years we have been operating. I stand corrected on the rest of the group being single riders. In fact you’re correct they were double riders. However this is no reason for your craft to transit the harbour at a slower pace. The craft idle at the sped they idle at. It may of been a case that the other persons on the other craft may of gave a little power exiting the harbour to make you feel yours was slower. The craft you was on has operated perfectly as it should all season, before you used it by the previous customer (only 1 hour before) and afterwards, the following day and continues to operate as normal as I write this now. We have had this issue before and when advised to diver, increase speed above 11mph (which is not planing speed) the craft will respond and operate as it should. The issue was resolved A jetski is a plaining hull and not a displacement hull. To achieve this, you need to exceed 15mph and more. In this case I don’t believe this was achieved. Other customers before and after yourselves, used that same jetski and thoroughly enjoyed their trip and rebooked for another experience season. I personally feel this review is based on user error and is not a fair review towards our business operations. Regards Jurassic Jetski Tours

In short: BEST DAY EVER and can't wait to do it again (on the Christmas list!). The team were absolutely brilliant and I can't thank them enough for their friendliness and professionalism... and generally making our day :)

In long:
**Don't be scared** - I approach most new things with a touch of anxiety but the team put me at ease. Our guide/instructor Dan was excellent and took us through everything step by step. Plus, you set the pace! Dan kept just ahead of us and altered his speed to match ours. You get time to get used to the jet ski in the harbour at all of 4mph... then coming out of the harbour it's a bit choppy and you think 'uh oh'... but then after that, the sea smooths out and you can gradually get faster and faster. Plus the faster you go, the smoother the ride. By the end of the first leg, I had settled in and eased my way up to fully opening the throttle. The jet skis are models designed for hire, so they're very stable and they don't fly away from you. There's so much space around you that it doesn't feel scary to go fast.

**Physicality** You don't need to be super fit to do this! If you can walk 5 mins to the pontoon and hold onto the jet ski, you'll be fine... and I even found I was gripping way too hard at first (giving myself unnecessary cramp). And again, you set the pace. We got a jet ski each and I'm so glad we did as it takes the first half to get used to it and the second half is pure enjoyment. They may seem big but I'm only just over 5' tall and found it very comfortable and easy enough to handle. My husband is 6'2" and was equally comfortable.

**What to wear** - it was a little gloomy for our day (in Sept) so we went with the wetsuits (provided) and I just wore underwear underneath. On a hot day, swimming shorts and a t-shirt will be enough (+suncream). You get a little wet coming out of the choppy sea in the harbour, but after that I barely noticed the water. On a bright day, sunglasses may be wise. I also wished I'd had some to protect my eyes in the harbour but again, after that point, they weren't needed. Bear in mind that the wind my take them if you turn sideways while going along so consider a strap. And finally, shoes -- I wore mine but really didn't need to other than to walk down to the pontoon. I should have taken them off and put them in the storage compartment of the jet ski, as they obviously got soaked! Afterwards, I was happy to clamber into comfy jeans and a jumper... and dry underwear.

**Facilities** - there are two changing rooms, each with a shower which was so nice after the wetsuits and salt water. You will need to bring your own towel and soap. There is also a toilet. The team will keep your belongings safe while you're out on the water... but make sure your phone is silent/off as my husband's alarm went off while we were out and it doesn't stop for ages - it must have driven them crazy! They have a small shop with various water-sports related items such as flipflops and wetsuits, plus a few Jurassic Jet Ski branded items.

**Parking** - there is no onsite parking (as with most places on Weymouth beachfront/ harbour) but there are car parks nearby. The street parking is one hour only. The Council Offices car park is very close but make sure you leave extra time to find parking and make the short walk to the Jet Ski reception.

**Booking** I booked over the phone and received a text confirmation. I was expecting an email in the long run but I think they mostly operate via mobile... but it all works really well. Our first booking had to be moved due to the sea state but we knew that was a possibility from their website - we just got unlucky with the weather but we were staying in Weymouth overnight so the team moved our booking to the following day and even accommodated slightly later slot. You MUST pay your deposit quickly/ straight away otherwise the booking is not secured, which is fair enough.

**the Team** - as mentioned throughout, the team were brilliant - friendly, professional and generous. Plus they never go for the obvious hard sell on anything which is great. It's a serious rarity to go on an experience like this and not be charged for photos of yourself. It's refreshing and avoids taking any of the shine off your experience... and weirdly I think it actually makes me more likely to want to go back.

We booked a trip for myself, father in law and 11 year old daughter. Steve, our instructor was very friendly and taught us all the safety stuff. We then went out on the sea and it was fantastic fun. Thoroughly recommend it. 10/10
