    Definitely work a visit
Always loved Beatrix potter from being a child so this was must. Plenty to look at and learn. Not too busy. Some beautiful arts and lots of cuteness. Not badly prices. I think the shops stock was abit rubbish not enough pubble duck cuteness for me. But really glad we went.

    Ok
We visited as a family, we booked online and as we queued to pick up our tickets we were ignored by a member of staff who proceeded to greet the people behind us instead, despite me acknowledging the member of staff. Not a great first impression. We went to the Peter rabbit birthday show first, it was very good. We as a family really enjoyed the performance. We then went to the main attraction, it was very informative with all the tvs full of information. I felt the rest of the attraction lacked. It didn’t take us very long until we had been round the whole thing and by this point the kids were bored. We headed through the gift shop again the staff in there weren’t very friendly. We’ve done it once and highly doubt I would recommend to friends or go back again.

Go to Peter' Rabbit's birthday party if you can!
We have been before but this time we also attended Peter Rabbit's birthday. Quite frankly one of the best shows we have seen, we all laughed our socks off and it was all very professional, great sound quality etc. The actual Attraction is also very good.
What a lovely review - thank you so much and it's great to hear you enjoyed it.

Enjoyable but entry was a shambles
We came here with our young daughter as shes a fan of peter rabbit. We parked over the road in the pay and display car park. The entrance to the attraction was a bit of a disaster. There was one queue when we arrived but then some people started coming in the back door and trying to filter in. After about 10 minutes of queuing we were asked if we wouldn't mind joining the back of the other queue. I said yes, I did mind, because we were here before all of those other people. They then decided to let us go to the front of the other queue, but then immediately started letting people for our original queue go in so we still ended up going it last. The organisation was an absolute shambles. I appreciate it was busy but they had no clue whatsoever. We had a nice time looking around all the different exhibitions. The exhibitions were well laid out and there were some information boards and interactive exhibits. Whilst it was enjoyable, I did think it was expensive for what was there.
Hi thanks for your message - we are pleased to hear you enjoyed the Attraction. We have two entrances to the building but our signage advises that visitors enter via the ramp to our main entrance which takes you straight to the Box Office. We have systems in place to ensure that staff are on hand in busier periods to direct visitors to the Box Office and apologise that this wasn't the case when you arrived. This will be in place for the duration of the summer holidays. Thanks for visiting and we hope your daughter continues to enjoy the amazing Beatrix Potter stories!

    Lovely Time
If you are a Beatrix Potter fan or young child this is a must see. I could see how others might overlook this, but I’d recommend that anyone with an inner child could enjoy a bit of time here. I visited on a quiet warm afternoon so found the cool inside a welcome retreat for a bit. The depiction of the stories was lovely. My favorite part was actually the biographical information about Miss Potter herself. I also ate at the lovely restaurant downstairs and it was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended the afternoon tea, delicious treats and such a good value.

Skip the Attraction, book the theatre show
Beatrix Potter fans will love it. Recreations of the characters are great and the information provided fleshes out the whole story. However for very small children (eg under age of 5), it lacks an interactive component. A “trail activity” works for older children but not for the pre-schoolers who need something more tactile or sensory to really enjoy the experience. If you have young children I would skip the attraction and go to the Happy Birthday Peter Rabbit show at the Old Laundry Theatre which the attraction shares a building with. The show was great fun, interactive and kids will love it.

    Was OK, we wouldnt return.
We visited today with a 2.5 and a 5 year old. The attraction was clean and tidy and staff appeared helpful and happy. My only downside is, although the displays were very good, I just felt there could have been more interaction equipment for the children to play with. Maybe we have been spoilt from the Blackpool Peter Rabbit exhibition but I wasn't overly impressed with Beatrix Potter attraction. For the price you pay for less than an hour walk round. It does tell the story which is well done how they have done it, but I do feel for the younger children there wasn't much for them to get involved in.

    Magical for younger children
The tour was magical, particularly for children, there was a reasonable amount to see and read, though some of the screens appeared to be “stuck” and didn’t work. The small garden was a little disappointing I think they could have done more with it, it looked like it hadn’t been finished. We took some great photos and had a look in the gift shop. It was a lovely hours visit but I personally found it overpriced for what it was. Overall we had a pleasant visit and I’d recommend it for younger children.

    A great day out
Fantastic attraction for the young ones, the show was amazing my 15 month old granddaughter was captivated for the full hour. We went to Peter rabbits tea party too which was ok - afternoon tea was average at best - the sandwiches were dry, the tea luke warm and crisp that a child could choke on however netting Peter was fun for the children and the afternoon tea is served on beautiful Beatriz potter crockery. The gift shop is lovely And the staff are amazing

    Peter rabbit over priced
My 4 year was captivated by the displays and the movie at start was good . However for the money we paid I thought it was a little dated. Not enough interaction and very few moving displays. The garden looked like it could do with a bit more work as appeared unfinished . We paid over £30 for our family visit and were in and out attraction within half an hour. Disappointing. Book given not age appropriate. The one in Blackpool by far exceeds this one. Would not go back nor recommend due to the high cost . Shame as this is marketed as one of the best attractions in Lake District for international visitors .

We took our grandchildren here during half-term and it was very sweet. Lots of nice photo opportunities, although a bit dated. I'm certain I recall bringing my own daughter here in the 1990s, and not much had changed!

A small, clean, attraction but very nicely done, starting with a short introductory film. A walk through exhibit with models in displays. An interactive screen near each display for extra information about the relevant story and the truths they were based upon. Items for the youngsters to look for in the displays too. The sets all blended nicely together in a sort of woodland walk feel. Music and lighting effects and lovely photo opportunities if not too busy. A section of more in depth history about the buildings/local area and Beatrix's life is at the end, which was more interesting for adults. There is a door to the small outside garden which is small but had a lot of thought put into in and obviously would be nicer in summer than a rainy day in November. This is near the start of the walk though so you are quickly back inside. I was actually in there for about 80 minutes which I was surprised by as it was small. Nice shop and large cafe with some outside seating at the end and clean loos etc. Prices same as everywhere else. The staff were all lovely and smiley and polite in every section but particularly the young girl at the entrance Chelsea, who was smiley and enthusiastic despite the atrocious weather, She put my brolly behind the counter as it was dripping. Great welcoming customer service. I actually learned a lot .Nice way to spend a wet afternoon, concession for over 60's, £8 not too bad these days.

The attraction exceeded our expectations,we had children with us from age 4 to one year old and they all had a great time,on arrival there is a short film lasting about 5 mins, then you can take your time to wander around the attraction, the displays and figures are all very well done and lovely photo opportunities,we were there inpouring rain so mr mcgregors garden was a bit damp but good fun.The gift shop was very tempting, lots of things to buy.I would recommend paying a visit.

Visited with a 1 year old and a 5 year old. They both had a magical time, the 5 year old had a quiz to complete that was reasonably set for her age group. We all loved the garden and the wee tips on how to make your garden inviting to animals and allow them to keep warm and safe over the weekend. The attraction is well laid out and allows you to step into the tales of Beatrix Potters characters, the figures and scenes are really well done.
Only thing I’d say is the hill up to entrance is quite steep, if you have any issues or concerns with mobility it might be too much for you.

The attraction itself was great and the kids loved it. However, we queued up for food and drink at the cafe, very slow service and rude staff, only to be told they don’t serve food until 11:30. There was nothing on the menu to say this and it would have been good to know in advance of queuing. With two hangry toddlers, we then had a hasty search around Bowness for another place to eat which made the visit stressful.

decided to visit while in the area on a family holiday. Allows everyone to enjoy and get stuck into the many stories of the famous author. Was a nice but short walkthrough attraction which went into the many characters and the general history of beatrix potter. Little one enjoyed seeing the characters of course! Also had a small cafe serving small bites to eat. Nice sausage sandwich! Overall okay but i did feel it needed a little more.

We were 2 adults visiting with our 1 year old as something to do on another rainy day in the Lake District. We were very surprised by how much we all enjoyed this little attraction. Yes you can't really spend more than 45 minutes here, but there was a lot more to see that we had thought there would be and lots and lots of great photo opportunities. Our 1 year old loved it too :-D

Slightly disappointing was that the lights were out on several of the cubby holes so you couldn't see inside the animal dwellings inside the tree at all (just after garden doors) and then there were a few interactive screens around the building that didn't work. I did mention these to staff as we were leaving, so hopefully they did something about these.

Blurb:
"An enchanting visitor attraction where Beatrix Potter’s magical stories are brought to life in 3D.
Meet Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle Duck and all their friends in a magical indoor recreation of Beatrix Potter classic tales, with the sights, sounds and also the smells of the countryside. You will be able to see Mrs Tiggy-winkle in the kitchen, go past Jeremy Fisher's Pond, step into Mr McGregor’s kitchen garden and even walk through Squirrel Nutkin's Old Oak Tree."

Expect to spend around 45 minutes here. Tickets are £9 each and children under 3 are free. The attraction is pram friendly, except for the tiny garden which has a few stairs but we still managed with the pram. There are actually 3 entrances to the building, so if visiting with a pram I suggest using the one from the main road as this is less steep.

We were so impressed with the experience that we told our friends who are now visiting next week and our parents have plans to visit soon as well.

Located in central Bowness and a 2 minute walk from a carpark that has electrical car charging.

I went here on my own (a 60 year old woman) and loved it. I've always loved the books and have visited Beatrix Potter's house etc but first time at this attraction and it did not disappoint. The attractions were very hands on for kids and the shop was lovely.
