We visited this zoo yesterday (had not been there for a few years) and loved it. The weather perked up and it was warm, so ambling around and taking our time was not a problem. Had some lunch first, and the food was reasonably priced....More
get in and out of the building is not easer even in power wheelchair and also disability toilets are on big hill so if you are in manual wheel chair you cant open the door with out slipped down the hill as door are wight...More

Agreed, the zoo is on Devon hillside, it is not easy to open the doors outside of summer (they are permanently open in the warmth) and one day we may be able to afford automatic sensing doors - however... It is just a shame there...More
We (The wife and I) are in Devon and thought we would visit the zoo that inspired "We Bought A Zoo".

Really great zoo with animals that i have not seen at any other zoo! got a great view of all animals including two monkeys getting a bit frisky above us so had to move on from them quickly! lovely place we took a picnic but...More
A small zoo but with plenty to see, well maintained and with very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, and seemingly happy animals.
Also many feeding activities through the day with commentary by the keepers.

We had a lovely day out at Exmoor Zoo! The animals were all extremely well cared for in beautiful large enclosures. Food was great and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely be going back again!
