We visited the Pannier Market whilst holidaying in North Devon. What a great building and also loved the "Butchers Row" adjacent to it. I enjoyed researching the history of this market after our visit. Really loved the row of Union Jack Flags hanging proudly down the centre of the market building. I've included a photograph for anyone who is interested

Try the Cafe in the Pannier Market for a remarkable full English Breakfast. Cooked fresh so a little while to Waite but oh so worth it. Home cooking , hot and tasty.

There's something here for everyone. Traditional, historic and most importantly, local! From fruit and veg to fishing bait, shoes and confectionery.

Market is in the centre of town giving a wide variety of goods. Lots to look at in a loverly setting. Check prices through you may find better deals in the town shops

Standing in the centre of town the Pannier Market built in the 1860's is the oldest and largest of its kind left in the Country. The impressive building has undergone a facelift in 2016 and the work is ongoing to keep this grand old lady functioning. There is a market held here every day of the week except for Sundays... Brilliant local market. The Somerset strawberries were delicious and so amazing for Nov! So glad I visited on my way to a course.

A pleasant atmosphere with plenty of stalls offering a range of items. Visited on Saturday and the place was virtually empty and had an air of despondency about it because of lack of custom. Such a shame for a great town centre location.
