Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have crossed this bridge hundreds of times and never tire of looking down at the river, seeing rowers go by and wildlife. The river as seen from this bridge takes on so many different atmospheres depending on the weather conditions and the time of day. There are numerous cafes and restaurants on or very nearby this busy crossing of the river.

Durham is full of bridges and this one is right up there for being picturesque. Shops at either end. There are bette view points to be had but this is not bad at all. Was very close to our hotel so we walked along it quite a few times each day. Not exactly the worse walk!

This is a mediocre bridge which I usually walk over it when I’m in Durham. Great views and lots of buskers. Too busy.

When walking this bridge takes you into the city centre. Below are good views of the river and the businesses below the bridge. At one end the shops start and there is the historic Klute nightclub

A very striking bridge in the middle of the town giving access to both sides of the river. Whilst the centre is quite hilly the bridges make it easy to explore all areas.

... watch and experience people from all walks of life stride across this stunning bridge ... and then sit down a lovely drink at either end of the bridge

This bridge is average but it’s far too busy and so many buskers. The views are decent though that why it’s not 1 star.

Elvet is one of a few lovely old bridges linking what i like to think of as the 'island Town Centre' to the bulk of Durham. Picturesque and well maintained, great views of the river as you cross. An atractive feature to the city.

This bridge is at the heart of the city and so you cross it regularly on strolls around, but it is also grand in itself

This bridge is several hundred years old and is quite picturesque. It is built on a slant as has shops at either end. The views are not as good as from other viewpoints in Durham.
