Durham Castle! An imposing structure altogether, now housing Durham University! One can view this castle under the comfort of a guide who leads the way, explains and humours the history instances he describes! We were so lucky to have DAN as our guide. A Durham...More

Book in advance for a tour of the historic castle. The tour takes about an hour and is quite leisurely. Our guide was knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.

Thank you for your feedback especially regarding Chris, your guide, which I will make sure he is made aware of. Good news about your son maybe he'll be a Durham student one day studying history and living in the Castle!
