Welcome to Durham Climbing Centre - the premier indoor bouldering venue in the North East! Durham Climbing Centre caters for every level of climber from beginner to very advanced. Whatever your age or ability, at Durham Climbing Centre there is a challenge for everyone! Suitable for ages 3 years to adults from beginner to advanced! Rock Stars Children's Club, Coffee Lounge & Cafe, Equipment Shop. FREE Adult Coaching weeknights 8pm - 9pm, Ladies Night, Regular events & competitions. Free Parking. Baby change facilities

My 11 years old son had wonderful birthday party in Durham climbing centre. We had a very professional coach Ben, he kept the kids entertained throughout while teaching climbing skills, Jess is a very organised, lovely, friendly party host. They provided variety, delicious food, healthy fruits and vegetables, the kids love them. Everybody had a brilliant time. we are very impressed, excellent service, highly recommended.

Visited Durham Climbing Centre for a beginner taster session. Beth, one of the coaches, taught me the basics about the technical and safety aspects of indoor climbing. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave me great support and advice as I attempted some of the climbs around the gym. I will definitely be returning in the next few days and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this indoor climbing gym to anyone who wants to try a new sport.

Great venue friendly staff and customers. Young and old and all in-between were having a great time.igjr regret the 2 hours of climbing after a lot of years since last scrambling, but will be back for that next route challenge, all levels catered for and time wil fly, reccomended

I visited here with my two sons age 11 & 14. They hadn’t been bouldering before and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a great time!

Very very positive experience, good climbing walls and easy to navigate. Welcoming to beginners and expert climbers alike. Had an excellent choice of walls and food and drink which were tasty. The staff were brilliant, credits to Jess who helped us around for the day as it made the experiences so much better such as opening the outdoor area up.

My daughter (4) has been going to the holiday clubs here this year and absolutely loved it. It’s a real mix of ages and abilities, but the team cater to all the children. It’s a great confidence booster, and really wears them out!
My daughter choose to have her 5th birthday party here with 28 of her friends of the same age. From the moment I enquired as to whether they could cater for these numbers / age range, they couldn’t have been more accommodating. They had a complete “make it happen” attitude to everything, including having 3 Disney princesses turn up to do songs and games! The coaches were really attentive, made it so fun playing climbing games with the children, and were so encouraging everyone was keen to be involved. Jess lead the team amazingly, and made sure everything was in place and running to time. She liaised directly with the princesses (Smarty Party) to make sure it all flowed seamlessly, which was hugely appreciated and made it very stress free for us! The party food was AMAZING! Really great quality and a huge selection.
Genuinely couldn’t recommend the holiday clubs or birthday parties here enough!

We had our 6 year olds birthday party here recently and it was brilliant! The coaches were fab - adapting to different levels of ability - really fun, friendly and professional. We chose the catered option and the food was great too - gorgeous fruit platters, pizza, sausage rolls, cakes… loads of it, great quality and variety.

Lovely staff and exceptional facilities for babies and children. I took my 2 year old to the parent and toddler event, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. A really lovely experience, which my toddler loved. The daily sessions are unique and excellent for parents who climb. Nothing else like it in the NE! Well worth a visit. The holds were close enough for my toddler to reach without overloading his span; perfect for little ones.
