Attended a brewery tour, with a difference. The owner of the brewery spent the whole time with our group. He gave a very interesting talk about the brewing process and the history of beer. We were supplied with very generous samples which definitely aided our enjoyment. After the tour we had time to have a quiet pint and ate food... More

Hi We like beer so I thought it would be fun to bring my boyfriend along. We drank some beer and got taught about the brewing process (and opinions on Brexit). Here's a tip - don't try to discuss Brexit when people clearly have differing opinions (although I did agree with steves view that brexit was a terrible thing to... More

Small micro brewery and talk given by master brewer - gave insight into different hops used to produce their beers. Opportunity to sample the beers and there is a bar if you want to stay/call in for a pint. 9 pint kegs/cans are pressurised and are a great present for the beer lovers.

This was a great day listening to Steve's beer making stories and other random rambles. Some great beers to sample in a unassuming factory unit outside of Durham. Steve's passion and knowledge of 40+ years of making beer really shone through.

This is sold as a tour but really it is a beer sampling session and a very informative talk about the history of beer. It is down to last two hours but the husband and wife double act Steve and Christine drag it out longer with their hilarious double act which is bickering and talking whilst we watch on. We... More

I booked this for a gift for my husband as he loves trying different beers. It is well worth the price paid and we had a really good laugh. Steve & Christine know everything there is to know about beer, and their passion can be seen. You get to try 4 different samples whilst there, and they are huge samples!!... More

A great tour. This was a present from my fiancée. I'd already tried several of the Durham brewery beers so I know they do quality beers. its a small family run micro brewery and to have Steve and Christine (who are both characters) the founders run the tour was a great touch as who knows more about it than them....
