Booked for my sons 16th Birthday. He went with his friends and they all thoroughly enjoyed it. Not having been to an escape room before no one new what to expect. 16 year olds can sometimes be hard to please but they all came out saying it was CLASS! The man helping with clues had a great sense of humour apparently and really made them laugh! I had booked for the wrong day and obviously didn’t show for the time booked 🙈 Panicked that I had ruined my sons birthday the staff were so helpful, accommodating and calm unlike the stressed out Mum! Couldn’t be happier with the service and the experience 😊

Oh, what a treat! We are a mix of ages 12 to 60+, various disabilities including ASD, and different strengths. But we all thoroughly enjoyed this hour. My only criticism is that the light was too low for me to see well, so had to rely on the others. We will come back though. There are other rooms to escape from! Looking forward to it.

We did this experience as a group of six friends - what an amazing time we had from start to finish. Helena our host gave us clear instructions before we started and then locked us in. We had great fun looking for clues and solving the puzzles. It’s definitely worth a visit if you are staying at Lumley Castle or visiting the Durham area. Highly recommended.

Helena was a fantastic host and we even had a great convo when she discovered that i work in an escape room in North end, Portsmouth. We had a fantastic time doing lily of lumley room at lumley castle. Have enjoyed it so much that the northern guy in our group has been converted into the world of escape rooms. Would highly recommend this room and company.

Lilly of Lumley was a great escape room in a superb historical setting. Very interesting story and great immersion in the theme. Our gamesmaster Ellie was warm and humorous and she made the set up really fun. Would recommend :)

We did the Lumley Castle escape room and it was amazing. So much fun and really got you thinking. Our host was lovely and friendly (She did have to help us out a bit too) Highly recommend and we all want to come to do the other two rooms in Durham.

Our group completed the Lily of Lumley room and it is definitely one of the best escape rooms we have done, very atmospheric and a lot of interesting puzzles. Our host Chloe was amazing and really set the scene well. Will be looking to do some of the other rooms available

We visited today our first ever escape room. We didn’t quite make it, two clues from escaping, however we really enjoyed it. Megan was our host and she was super helpful and friendly. We went two adults and three 15 year olds and tried mr borrowdales study. We will definitely be back to try the others.

We did the Lumley Castle escape room. It was good, however been set in a castle and the story behind it we were expecting it to be a bit scary and have you on edge a little bit this wasn’t the case. Was a nice hour out and we beat the click! Tour guide was lovely too .

Absolutely loved the escape room at Lumley Castle. It's the best one we've ever done. Megan our host was lovely. Really positive and enthusiastic. We escaped with 34 seconds to go! Thank you for the great experience 😊
