- Venture637919857572 contributionsLovely park, well maintained with lots to doLovely park, lots to do. Even in the winter the paths are well maintained so it doesn't get muddy. The play areas is great for all ages. We visit regularly, there is always something to see or do. The crazy golf is really good and not too expensive like some. The shops and cafe in the stable area are lovely, we always stop for an ice cream It's a great day out for the family, we take a picnic in the summer and spend hours here.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 3 March 2024
- Field0Hornchurch, United Kingdom56 contributionsKids loved it, adults found it trickyThe High Ropes were amazing. For the price I wasn't expecting an exhilarating experience - I was wrong. From the greeting to our departure it was a tricky, yet safe experience. The staff were brilliant and even after rescuing 2 of the party they maintained a happy and engaging demeanour.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 28 April 2024
- JandBonholsGreater Manchester, United Kingdom188 contributionsSomething for everyoneMy wife and I go to this wonderful park and over time we have taken kids and grand kids on many occasions. Also very dog friendly. Great to see all the development work especially at the Hall which will be amazing when finished. Played the 18 hole golf course and the crazy golf (love the boat near the last hole where you pull a rope to get you across the water🤣). Golf shop and cafe with fresh coffee. Great local in Two Left feet. Don’t forget Foodie Fridays. Lovely bakery, cafe, ice cream parlour, chocolate shop and fabulous farm shop / butchers by Forsters local farmers. There is live music, market fairs, miles of glorious walks that links with canal tow paths, mini train play areas, high rope access and another mini golf course. Large car parks and the first 30 mins are for free. Lots more to see and do. (I know this will make the place even busier but everyone deserves the opportunity to go there 😇) Something for everyone and accessibility is catered for.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 3 June 2024
- JJGid1365 contributionsAdventure golf and lunchWe visited Haigh Hall today to have some lunch at Graze and play the adventure golf. We enjoyed both. For lunch, we both had the pie, chips, gravy and mushy peas. There was a choice of pie. It was steak or meat and potato. We had meat and potato. It was delicious. We had a cup of tea and everything came to £20 The adventure golf was really good too. It cost us £11 on total, and there were 18 holes.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 July 2024
- neilbounce63Darwen, United Kingdom29 contributionsSummer activity for young childrenLovely park to visit for young children plenty of open space ,free play area slides climbing etc . Crazy golf area for reasonable cost. Dog friendly . Central courtyard with cafes ,street food ,artisan bakery ,ice cream shop etc . Be careful with price as the cafe we visited Graze ended up costing £18 just for two children the sausage roll ar £2.50 I felt was very reasonable however £6 for 6 mozzarella sticks expensive 4 chicken nuggets and small oven chips £5.50 fruit shoots were £2.50 . However there are plenty of areas to eat food you can bring in yourself . Small funfair area for young children very expensive at £2.50 a ride and £4 for hook a duck . Not meaning to sound tight but during the summer holidays it is ideal to take young children but in our case it ended up costing over £60 for two children that includes a visit to the whippy ice cream van which is obligatory with youngsters . Highly recommended just wanted to give people a heads upVisited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 25 July 2024
- Tour6026323 contributionsHaigh High RopesWe took a group of boys to the high ropes aged between 6 and 12 and they had an amazing time! The youngest went on the low ropes course and the older ones on the high ropes and all had a brilliant experience. The staff were very friendly and encouraging. They delayed the session to wait for the pouring rain to ease which it did thankfully. They added extra time onto the end and even helped us out with one of the bookings made for the incorrect time. Would highly recommend, we will definitely return. Thank you!Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 25 July 2024

The signposting is not good in some parts so Googlemaps was useful here. Families did stick nearer to the visitor centre / play area naturally. Car parking was £3.50 over 1.5 hours.Visited October 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 October 2024

A great park with lots to do for children of all ages. The park has lots of different types of climbing frames with vary in ability which is what makes it fun for the kids to explore.
There are 2 crazy golf sites one small one that is open at the weekend and is only £1 per person to play and the other is a 18 hole experience.
The cafe served some good quality food at a reasonable price but will probably take a picnic next time as there is lots of open space to set up a blanket or tables if you want one

Take a walk. Take a ride. Enjoy a climb. Relax and Chill out. You have many recreation options here at Haigh Park.
What impressed us most was the free fantastic adventure playground. This is clearly a delight for kids or all ages.
The excellent crazy golf course is a new addition but there is also 18 and 9 Hole Courses. The Kitchen Courtyard has eating options and shops which stock artizan food and drink including a bakery, chocolatier, ice cream parlour and café.
There’s a miniature railway (not running due to Covid at the moment) and of course you can see the lovely flowers in the walled gardens.
And there is plenty of room to take a walk or if you are inclined a jog. There is parking on site and an overspill car park, and charges are very reasonable.

Very large woodland area with reasonable maps (though not all of these actually show you where you are on that map). Anyhow, in two hours we covered just over 5 miles. There is a traditional butchers shop next to one f the two major car parks which was well worth visiting.
Parking is free for 30 mins and £1.50 up to 1.5 hrs so most end up paying £3.50 for over 1.5 hrs.

The park itself is great there is loads to do and it’s a lovely place. However Graze cafe in the Courtyard is shocking! The food was overpriced and awful and the staff were possibly the rudest staff I have ever come across. They rolled their eyes at every order, spoke very very rudely and said loads of items weren’t available even though we could literally see them. Not one even neutral face they were all angry, didn’t get even a hello when I went to the counter three staff just stood and stared at me and then acted like I was horrible for ordering! They did the same to all my family and other customers. I understand sometimes it’s busy and that’s difficult but if you’re that desperately unhappy in your job find another one then quit!

Went to take 2 young children in coffee shop no kids meals so ended up wasting money on a cheese sandwich for them to share but not much eaten then a box of shreddies for younger one. Had to leave details due to covid as sat in. Toilets was shut in cafe but was open in courtyard massive queue for toilet due to only one open and rule of only one household member at a time which is stupid as if came in car was in same car had to use baby changing and the changing table was dirty looked like not been cleaned for months. Went to park area had to queue up for 20 mins due to it being busy toddler enjoyed bits of it but had more fun splashing in a puddle outside play area. Wont be going again till they older due to not much for younger children. Shame as was looking forward to it

I absolutely love this park, loads to do. Reasonable car park cost to start. They have multiple places you can buy food and drink and also have toilet facilities. The park is brilliant for kids massive playground, one of the best we have ever been too. Loads of equipment to use. They also have little fun fair, mini golf, tree top adventure ice cream vans. Beautiful walk around the halls grounds especially on a sunny days loads of places for a pic nic with benches or even sitting on the grass. But my favourite part of this place has to be the mini train ride! The guys who run it are volunteers and they are all really nice, it is also a donation only so pay what you can afford, most places would charge a fortune for this, so I really respect that fun for all

We went to the dinosaur event and when we arrived we were turned away. It was very badly organised.
We queued for over an hour and my daughter was very disappointed at the events which occurred due to lack of organisation and communication.
We arrived at the gate and there was one man (marshal) supporting the event. I was indicating to turn into the event and he signalled me to continue on the road past the event.
I shouted across and asked ‘Is the event full ? Are you taking any more entries?’ He replied ‘yes , it’s full’.
I had my daughter in the back crying her eyes out, as she really wanted to see the dinosaurs. She has been looking forward to it all day.
There should have been someone Marshall further down the road as the traffic was awful. It was backed up massively! No communication and an utter shambles .
For a well known please you’d think this would have been organised better.

This is a brilliant place to visit, we took our grandchildren on Friday 4th September. I accessed the disabled toilet and baby change room in the Ladies toilet and was shocked at how dirty it was. The whole room was dirty but the baby changing table was extremely dirty with ingrained dirt, not just from one day’s use. We quickly left the room and I changed my granddaughter in the car. A lot of disabled people won’t have that option. By contrast their was a staff member on the playground ensuring everyone sanitised their hands on entry and exit.

Very disappointed when I visited the Woodland fair to find that the guy who was supervising the trampolines left the attraction for 5-10 minutes and leaving the trampolines, with children on, locked and unattended. I had to unlock them to let my son and someone else's child off. The lock is very stiff and was difficult to get open. My son has LQTS so we carry a defibrillator at all times, I dread to think what could have happened had he had a cardiac event. Very irresponsible. When I questioned the guy on his return he just argued with me. I tried to contact the fair separately through their Facebook page, but they have chosen to ignore my message. I find it difficult to believe that this was allowed to happen at such a long standing, busy attraction. We will not be visiting again and we will be discouraging others based on our experience.

Went there today to see the dinasaurs, what a mistake that was. Took an hour to drive down the approach lane, 30 min queues at the loo, refreshments in fact at everything. There where thousands of people non were socially distant. Managed to see some of the dinasaurs and although my 5 year old grandson enjoyed it can't say I did.

Are dogs allowed in the Crazy Golf attraction? We want to come for a family day, including a walk around the grounds with our dog. But we're unsure if we'll be able to do the crazy golf too if we bring our dog with us.

Written 30 August 2018
Foodie Fridays are from 6pm each month, and the Artisan Market is from 10am to 4pm. All advertised on the Haigh Woodlands Park Facebook site.

Yes they have small donkey rides within the park :) not sure if they’re on daily but imagine they will be over the summer holidays.

Is it open every day and what time is the crazy golf open every day
Written 18 June 2018
The park is open every day. The volunteer run bargain Crazy Golf is open every day during the school holidays from 11am till 4.30pm, and at weekends the rest of the time (March - Oct.)

Are dogs allowed all around the park or restricted to limited places?
Written 20 March 2018
Darren N is wrong. Dogs don't have to be on a lead at all times. They should be on a lead in the courtyard and are obviously not allowed in the kids play area. I take my dog up there most days 👍🏻🐶

Hi,
I went a year ago whilst refurb taking place and the queue for the car park was pretty stressful with children in the car. Has everyone who's been going recently been able to park with ease?
Many thanks
Written 26 August 2017
We arrived mid morning and had to queue to get in. From what I could see repair work was being done to the entrance so when completed it might make accessability easier. What I did notice was we had to drive round car park to find a space but when we were leaving in the afternoon it looked as though they were using a field nearby as overspill car park. Once main car park is 75% full why not open the overspill to help congestion.
