Called in at Kirkless Hall having sailed down the canal. Having a dog with us, we made our way to the games room at the back where dogs were welcome. Menu wasn't massively extensive but food was fine and very affordable with kids adequately catered for and a good Sunday roast available. Food was freshly cooked and staff friendly and... More

When we go for a walk we also drop.in at this little pub. It's not a modern pub but welcoming and great stop off point for a couple of drinks. Will try the food next time we are around that way again

We recently borrowed a canal boat from Chorley with the aim of finding a pub for lunch down the canal. On arrival we approached the pub from what we now know as the rear of it on the estate. We thought it was the front and it looked shabby (like the rear of a pub usually does!). If you approach... More

There was a selection of lagers, no handpulled (I could see) I had the Steak & Onion barm that was really nice and my wife had the Ham barm, neithe dish was short on meat! £3.95 each was good value; Both were... Great pub right next to the canal... Only had a drink there...relaxed surroundings..watching the narrow boats chugging through the lock...
