Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is a conservation and education charity located in South Devon. With around two thousand animals, we have more species than anyone else in the South West. These include: crocodiles, snakes, lions, tigers, giraffes, elephant, rhinos, lemurs, meerkats, orang utans...The list is endless! We also have indoor play areas, the Jungle Express train and a lakeside restaurant. If you wish, we also offer special feeding experiences with certain animals, e.g. meerkats, giraffes, giant tortoises, etc. Paignton Zoo is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

It was just ok for us. I am sure the animals are well looked after but a couple looked depressed - elephant and cheetah in particular. There were signs explaining about the elephant but I really think the enclosure should be closed if the animal...More

Would just like to say a massive thank you! We had the most incredible day! Kept my four year old very entertained, he especially loved the train and the giraffes. Will definitely return! Thanks again!

What a place. The animal variety is incredible. Nicely designed so you keep your attention throughout. The elephant enclosure is amazing and the gorillas are fascinating. Very responsible prices on food in the cafe and park entrance

Paignton zoo is my favourite place to visit in paignton. You can spend all day there and even though I go there often you won't get bored. Love it.

Visited today, easy access to the zoo and plentiful parking. So much to see and do we did not manage it all in a day. The park is spotless and the information on the boards for the animals is just right for young children. We...More

A typical zoo. Very expensive. My children really enjoyed it here. Lots of walking but thankfully my children are not bothered about walking. The gift shop is quite expensive and annoying you have to walk through it to exit the zoo.

I believe that dogs are, or were kenneled in an enclosure at the car park behind the supermarket, this was the thing many years ago, but I'm not sure how it is today. Guide dogs might be allowed of course.
