Went in Friday lunchtime and ordered a steak meal plus fish chips and mushy peas. What arrived was a minute portion of fish in a very greasy batter a few warmed up chips and a few french beans. We asked the waitress were the peas were and very snottily was told they had not got any peas mushy or otherwise.... More

Since closing for it's refurbishment under it's new owners, the Old Manor has stepped right into the spotlight as the best little pub in Paignton now. It has homely, old world charm but is now light and airy with all of the staff doing their level best to make your visit a pleasure. Food was served quickly and was piping... More

Visited for lunch, two roasts for £12. Meat was ok as were most of the vegetables. The Cauliflower cheese was tasteless I'm afraid, I think they forgot the cheese. The gravy was like brown water. But if you're on a budget and want a plate of hot food for £6 this fits the bill.

Tucked discreetly off the main Torquay Rd, pulled in easily as this beautiful old thatched pub has large car park. Easy walk from Preston sea front. Walked in and bit dubious as little bit like old pub but we were starving, showed immediately to table by fire place. Ordered drinks and meal from an interesting menu. Well portioned child's meals.... More

This used to be a great pub until it's heart was ripped out many years ago. The old small rooms have been knocked into ne which gives it the feel of a rabbit warren. It desperately needs another refit. It's old, tired, and feels grimy. Carpets are worn in places and frankly dodgy. Service was poor and felt begrudging at... More

We went here on a night out to see local band, 3BF and they were brilliant. Played loads of decent music and the place was rocking. Only criticism was that getting served at the bar was a bit of a long haul but other than that we had a great couple of hours in there.

We found this pub purely by chance, as soon as we entered this atractive traditional old pub the atmosphere hit us, friendly, vibrant and cozy. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was amazing. Food can be eaten in the bar or the restaurant area which is more formal and quieter, which we opted for as the... More
