Lovely walk with an alpaca named Teddy. The group walked out in convoy through the farm and down to the beach. Lots of time to get to know your aplaca, and for pics. Jen and her team were patient with our group and answered all our alpaca related questions! Overall, a great experience.

Lovely trek on a sunny winter afternoon. Clear instructions throughout so felt very well informed and safe. Lots of fun walking the alpacas, taking photos, and then feeding carrots to the young ones. Next time we’d extend the experience by booking a picnic in the tipis, they were decorated for Christmas and looked lovely and festive.

I booked this as a surprise for my partner for his birthday! Once I booked I got an email straight away confirming, with directions & everything we needed to know to plan in advance! Once we got here Jen showed us around & we met the alpacas! She told us a lot about them and we asked lots of questions! We walked down to the beach and it really was an amazing experience! All of the alpacas have different personalities my partner picked chewy (chewbacca) chew packa I strongly recommend this for kids, adults or teens!! You won’t be disappointed we got to feed them carrots, we got so many photos & we had a good laugh. It was such an enjoyable experience for all of us. The prices are so reasonable and I was so surprised at how cheap it was! I’d love if there was different things you could do e.g donkey walking?! We’d love to visit again and would love to see more opportunities/ more experiences! When we got back we went to see the female alpacas & met the donkeys! Jen was absolutely lovely and made the experience even more enjoyable! Thankyou and we will be back!!

Loved walking the alpacas through the woods and onto the beach and then being able to feed them. The ladies were very attentive and kept updating us on what would happen next, intervening when there were dogs near off leads. Will definitely be booking again.

Highly recommend this for adult and kids We took our 6yr old boy this morning and had the most amazing time walking steven & Toby!!! They have an awesome area for you to sit and chill have some food before or after you have walked the alpacas, they have an open fire to toast marshmallows on!! Toilets available

Great day walking and feeding the alpacas. Staff were absolutely great and so lovely. Will definitely return again. Tipis was stunning! Staff even put the fire pit on for marshmallows to be toasted. All round great experience for all ages

Fantastic visit to see the alpacas. Jen met us at the paddock and we ended up being the only ones booked for that afternoon trek. Jen was really friendly and happy to chat and answer all our questions. Plenty of photos taken. The walk took approximately 45 minutes and then we took them back to the paddock and fed them carrots. Really fun thing to do and would highly recommend anyone to do this. We will visit again next time we are in Edinburgh.

A wonderful experience! Would highly recommend the Alpaca Trek. A beautiful woodland/ beach walk. The staff are so friendly and you can see how well cared for the alpacas are. Will definitely visit again soon!

10 of us ladies visited John Muir Alpacas as a part of a birthday day out for a friend. I was quite reluctant but there was no need as it was a fantastic day out. Everything was explained to us clearly about the Alpacas and how we needed to hold,walk and pet them. We walked through the farm and along the beach and back. On our return there was a chance to feed our Aplacas carrots. Mine was Mr Darcy, we were all matched with our Aplacas depending on our confidence with them. Mine was a lovely calm one. After the walk we visited the female Aplacas and donkeys. There is a huge beautiful teepee where you can have your packed lunch. All in all a great day and would highly recommend for adults and children.
