Interesting land locked twin harbour with ruined castle and old mlitary fortifications. There are intersting cafes and restaurants up the hill into town with some attractuve shops. Dunbar is on the direct line from Newcastle to Edinburgh , very well worth stopping off for an...More

Good place to visit plenty history and well laid out nice wee snack bar and good views good walking bits as well and the life boat is down there as

We had heard the harbour was great for pics and it is superb, but we were in addition impressed with the fascinating information boards about the harbour and the area.

Its a working harbour, so you do need to be careful not to get in anyone's way - or trip over any ropes! But on a nice day, it's a lovely walk around it. Lots of information boards dotted around, the ruins of the old...More

Historical site with the old leper hospital/barracks which is now a visitor site. I enjoyed often spotted seals in the harbour too. Lovely wee walk.
