- Linda PChertsey, United Kingdom24 contributionsGreat showEnjoyable evening, loved the show we went to see. Can’t remember full name but had west end in title. Was a full house but we had clear view of the stage. Where we sat for pre show drinks could do with revamp but all the staff we encountered were helpful & friendly. Would definitely visit again when on island.Visited September 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 April 2023
- Matt DLondon, United Kingdom276 contributionsThe hills are alive........We decided to go watch The Sound of Music whilst on holiday and what a performance. Everything about the night was brilliant. A warm welcome, a superb theatre and more importantly a wonderful production. A great family night.Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 8 April 2023
- S RWorld6 contributionsdifficult to see the stageWe were on holiday so booked the only show that was on. It was a medley of songs and the performers were excellent. However there was a fault with the sound system so the show was paused while it was fixed. And the seating is flat so it was difficult to see the stage as we had tall people sitting in front of us. The show didn't last very long so overall wasn't the best value for money.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 22 June 2023
- Barbara B8 contributionsTheatre is beautiful, worth a visit.Took a party of 17 mostly elderly people to the matinee to see Calendar girls, it was brilliant, if you missed this show and it is on again go, it was great, well performed. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, thank you so much from Age Concern Alderney it was one of the highlights of our trip. The building is beautiful, even the outside had beautiful flower boxes etc, the staff are mostly volunteers and you can tell how much they love what they do and are very proud of their building especially as the upkeep is purely donations, worth a visitVisited June 2023Written 5 July 2023
- AndyMW7 contributionsSuch lovely staffI was on the Isle of Wight for a family holiday and we had tickets to the Diana Ross Experience. The bar staff were an absolute hoot! I love chatting to people, and they were so friendly and lovely. It was one of the best theatre experiences I've had. Every single staff member was chatty and friendly and my family and I had the best time. Thank you so much for the banter and making us feel welcome. 1010.Visited May 2023Written 5 July 2023

What a great feeling to spend a couple of hours in this environment. The singing and dancing was very strong. We went to see Beyond the West End and what an amazing show it was. It was the last night but Spotlight IOW are doing a pantomime this year, I'm sure it will be just amazing as well. Theatre is very clean, we had a good view and staff were so helpful

I have been a regular visitor at our great voluntary run theatre for a long time. It’s is a true gem on the Isle of Wight and there are many varied and great shows put on throughout the year. Many shows are sell out as quality acts are the norm here. Very fortunate having this fine old theatre rejuvenated by enthusiastic friendly people.

Lovely theatre. We attended the Thursday evening show (on until autumn 2023) Beyond the West End. Fabulous show incorporating a mixture of singing, dancing and comedy (the sketches re first dates and jobs were hilarious). Well worth a visit and we can thoroughly recommend this particular show.

Hello, thank you for your question, please visit the Theatre's website, select the show of your choice from the 'Whats On' tab, click on the show and then on the 'Showings, select a date' box (to the right), the seating plan is revealed to allow you to book your selected seats, seats shown in 'red' are available to book. Hope this helps, regards, Michael for Shanklin Theatre.

Go to Shanklin Theatre website, pick the show you are interested in and the seating plan will come up showing sold and available seats. Suggest you avoid the end two or so seats in the balcony in second and third row slightly restricted view. Row F in stalls is very popular as it has extra leg room, is close to the ctage but not too close. The balcony is tiered but stalls are not. But most seats are pretty good as it is only about 600 seat capacity. If coming by car arrive early as there is very limited parking close to theatre and car parks can get pretty full in season and for popular shows. But it is a great little theatre and am sure you will enjoy visiting.

I can't find a list of what shows or artist appearing at the Theatre anywhere on the web-site. We are coming over this week and hope there is something to see at the Theatre.
