We always get drawn here

Over the past 30 years we have visited the island around four times and having discovered this gem on our first time to the island we always visit when on the IOW.

Lovely and peaceful location on the way down to Monks Bay at Ventnor. Very old. Decorated for Christmas. Looked as it carols had been held there over the Christmas period which must have been lovely.

tucked away in a no through lane we came across it by accident, a gem of a church. Norman in origin, being repaired at the moment, worth going out of your way to see.

Little enchanted place. an old church; cemetery; garden of peace. Meeting with History, belief (?), human dialogue with our life and death experience. A place for having peace of mind or for contemplation. Loved it.

A lovely old church which we were lucky to find. It was a shame we were not on the island for the Sunday candle light services

One of many fine and very old churches. Our younger children were surprised at the age. A very simple interior.

A haven of peace in a quiet unspoilt village. Imhavevlived here 12.years. The church has a Peace Garden looked after by the locals. The inside is plain as you would expect from such an old church.

This is a lovely old church, particularly blessed by being so small - you'd miss it if you blinked. It not only has tranquility but also an obligatory yew tree in the garden. I'm not particularly religious but always feel good by going there.
