A GREAT LOSS TO THE 'LOCAL' ART SCENE!
Jan 2020
Sadly, this (free to enter) Gallery is now closed and, so far as I am aware, is not likely to re-open, certainly in the short term.

The rating is based on my last visit in early 2020.

Ever changing, the new curator has some refreshing ideas
Jun 2018 • Couples
The new curator, Gary, has refreshing ideas about how the gallery should be run. The recent Bushy's exhibition held over TT week 2018 was excellent. I look forward to see how it progresses

A SMALL GALLERY WITH EVER-CHANGING EXHIBITIONS
Jan 2018 • Couples
The Sayle Gallery, named after 'local' artist Norman Sayle, is a real treasure in the heart of Douglas, Isle of Man. It can be found in between the Victorian Gaiety Theatre and the Villa Marina entertainment centre on Douglas Promenade - roughly opposite the Douglas War Memorial.

It is iopen throughout the year and a new exhibition is opened about once per month showing different genres of the visual arts.

This Gallery is free and well worth a visit and needs the public's support as there have been funding problems of late.

The only serious outlet for Isle of Man artistic talent. Constantly changing themes and artists means that it is always a good visit. And coffee next door make it all worthwhile.

Contemporary Arts Exhibition

What a great exhibition of contemporary work from newly graduated students from University College Isle of Man. A really exciting range of work that was fresh and interesting. A really well situated gallery right on the prom with a great ice cream parlor right next door.
