I visited Peel Castle one windy sunrise during my Isle of Man trip and it did not disappoint. Such a great area of open space surrounded by the sea which on one side is a shade of blue you’d see in the tropics. Beautiful!

Steep access steps make this unsuitable for people with restricted mobility, but once inside it was a charming castle. We enjoyed having the recorded commentary at each view point, and the stories brought the history of the castle to life. Very pleasant afternoon out.

We had a very interesting visit here. Visitors follow a self-guided audio tour around the ruins. This can be taken at your own pace with no particular order to follow. The children aged 9 and 12 followed the audio guide without any problems.

Lovely place to have a walk around to explore a ruined castle. The audio self-guided tour was informative and helped to really bring the story to life.

One of the highlights of a visit to the Isle of Man. The audio tour is interesting, pointing out most of the history without being long-winded. Very enjoyable.
