Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a beautiful area and gorgeous views. Lovely walk along the front and plenty of cafes to call in at for refreshments. Easy access for wheelchairs and buggies and lots of dog walkers enjoying exercising their dogs. Definitely worth a visit.

Huge expanse of soft, golden sand and wide prom. Only a couple of amusement arcades because all you need is the beach and the views from St Mary’s lighthouse to the Spanish City.
If you like walking, you can turn right to North Shields, taking in Cullercoats and Tynemouth. Alternatively, turn right to Seaton Sluice, taking in the lighthouse and island. Easy walks on the flat.

Soft sands for the kids, and loads of it. Not steep for tots paddling . In sunshine a lovely place. Cafe on the prom, lifeguards and public toilets, easy to get down the beach with the buggy.

This beach is quite long and largely sandy. It is popular with locals and visitors with many of the usual seaside facilities

The beach and the links were nice to look at. The beach was sandy with some shingle. We stayed near the links.

3 Miles of ‘golden’ sand has been used to describe our NE Coastline, here in North Tyneside, UK

In the last 10 years NTC our Labour lead Council, have invested money in the regeneration of Whitley Bay Promenade . They have laid down a new Promenade walkway from Watts Slope all along to St Marys, Lighthouse. There are new seating areas, modern lighting system, improving the security down on the Promenade. A new addition, for dog walkers is the installation of a self use dog bath and shower system. It costs £7 to use the facility. It is on the outside of the Italian Art Gallery/Coffee Cafe.

The Whitley Bay seafront have community projects which encourage families to take advantage of using this free to all outdoor relaxing visits
