Great trip, just the four of us and the tour guide. She was able to give us lots of information about the local area, specifically on beaver reintroduction, and showed us signs of beaver activity in the area. We then walked along the river, stopping at the recommended spots, until the beavers appeared! We saw about half a dozen, adults and babies, and got some great photos. Lovely animals. Finished with a dram of whisky! Beautiful evening well spent. My main recommendation would be to go in summer for those lovely long evenings – we lost the light fairly early unfortunately, but still had a great time.

Went on a dawn beaver safari with Perthshire wildlife. The guide, Jean, was really lovely and immediately put us at ease. She gave us some really interesting background information on the beavers before we started the walk and then we saw beavers very quickly once we reached the river. It was a beautiful morning, there were loads of birds and bats around and the atmosphere was magical anyway, it would have been a great trip even without the beavers! However, we were lucky enough to sit and watch quite a bit of beaver activity and we felt so privileged.

Really informative and interesting and managed to see some beavers in the wild. Would recommend to anyone interested in wildlife or wanting to see beavers in their natural habitat

A fantastic evening learning about beavers and re-wilding. Jean, our guide, was excellent. A walk through beautiful countryside and at the end of the evening we were able to watch beavers swimming and eating.

A pleasant evening out to view beavers. We saw several individuals swimming in the river and had the added bonus of seeing an otter and bats.
Our guide, Jean, was very informative about the beavers, their history and habits. Enjoyed our visit.

We were walked down to the River initially looking for signs onto he banks and grass. It was a bit light to begin with but Joan pointed out where the den was and it didn't take long for us to see our first beaver. We saw the majority of the family as they patrolled their territory more frequently as the light dropped. There were two adults, two yearlings and three young. I was able to follow one of the yearlings up and down which was fantastic. Recommend Binoculars as it became hard to see as the light level dropped. Also fortunate to see an otter three times. Wonderful to see such a healthy river network. Joan was great and knowledgeable and this was an amazing experience

An outstanding evening on the Riverbank watching Beavers swimming up River and an Otter fishing an experience of a lifetime Jean who was our guide was absolutely fantastic took us just to the right spot to see these wild animals in action Definitely will book for next year Top Tip Take a headtorch as it's pitch black coming back from the River also warm waterproof clothing

Our daughter has always been interested in beavers having done Masters level work on their re-introduction in the UK. Jean from Perthshire Wildlife was an excellent guide and knew just where to go and where to look to see a family of beavers in the water. We spent more than an hour watching them until it became too dark to see. Jean also is a bat expert and identified several species that flew around us at dusk. A great adventure we'll never forget.

Fabulous beaver Safari with Jean.
My 13 year old and I both learnt loads and it was such a joy to see the habitats that the beavers had reformed, and which were beautiful. And then wonderful to watch the beavers by the river!

We had an amazing beaver safari with Daniele.
At our first site Daniele explained and showed us how the beavers had transformed the landscape for the better by building a series of leaky dams, thereby creating pools which transformed a single ditch into a rich ecosystem for wildlife and plants.
We then moved to the second site which was a river bank where we spent about an hour and a half watching four beavers - a big daddy, a yearling and two kitts swimming feeding and grooming themselves. We also saw an otter and a kingfisher plus bats. It was so peaceful and informative and felt like we were a mile away from the hubbub of ordinary life. Thanks Daniele for a great and memorable evening which we won’t forget.
