The title really does sum this place up. It oozes the stuff! So would any building that has parts old enough to be mentioned in the Domesday Book! The property is reported to be haunted by several entities, and although we witnessed nothing paranormal (unfortunately)...More

This is a must, the guide really makes you feel like there's something lurking around every corner, I had goosebumps galore the whole way round. Also the grounds are worth a walk around. Check your camera footage when you get back, you never know!

The history behind this house is nothing short of astonishing. The house, furniture and artefacts within are intriguing and the guided tour worth every penny. This was our second visit and there will be at least a third!

Lovely quaint house full of character. Visited because the wifes long gone relations lived there but was a beautiful house to visit anyway. No gulded tour on the day we went but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We visited the manor yesterday, 30th August, and spent a very enjoyable couple of hours there. The location itself, is very beautiful, surrounded by lovely gardens, and countryside. The manor is quite unique, having kept so many features throughout the centuries. Our tour guide, Leslie,...More

Tour guide very informative interesting tour but over priced at £9 a person should be more realistically priced at £4-5 for a relatively short tour
