About
Foraging, fun, food and education on West Wales' beautiful and diverse coastline. I'm Craig, It gives me great pleasure taking people out on foraging and educational walks along the beautiful and productive coastline of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. You will receive a very warm welcome when you attend one of my courses . Since learning to read I have actively sought out as much information as I could about life between the tides and its varied environments. I was born in Carmarthenshire and I feel privileged to be able to showcase what we have here to the wider world.

I can’t explain how much we loved this day out… don’t hesitate, just book! We’ve watched Craig on YouTube for years so I got the classic experience as a gift for my boyfriend’s 30th. I expected it to be good, but was blown away! We learnt so much about the Welsh coast, geography and geology, landscape, and of course sea life. We foraged all sorts of shellfish which was soooo much more fun than expected, and Craig taught us all sorts about them and how to spot them and catch them ethically. He could answer any question and was so kind hearted and fun, and you can clearly tell he’s passionate about foraging, ethics, sustainability, etc. he also remembered everyone in the group’s interests and tailored his information to what people were there to see which was such a lovely touch. At the end he cooked up our finds with some foraged herbs and it was absolutely delicious. It was just the most perfect wholesome Welsh day out, I’m so glad we travelled from London to do it and have recommended it to absolutely everyone I know. It has genuinely made both of us want to learn more about foraging and being self sufficient and opened our eyes to the joys of what is out there. The perfect adventure :)
Top tip: it was a beautiful day but you’re out for a long time (it’s amazing value for the time you spend out!) so do bring a jacket, extra layers and waterproof shoes etc as plodding around in the shallows in an open bay gets colder than you might think :)
Thank you so much Craig for being the most amazing tour guide and host, and of course to Llew too ❤️

My partner has been avidly following Craig on YouTube and instagram for a while so when I discovered he provided coastal foraging courses, I knew immediately that it would be the perfect Birthday gift and it did not disappoint!
From the moment we met in the car park for a quick briefing to the very last moment we waved goodbye to Craig, Llew and his lovely family, everything was so well organised and perfectly pitched! Which is quite the feat considering it was the largest group he had taken out for the extreme low tide course and including a vast range of ages.
Craig’s knowledge on every aspect of the region - wildlife, plants, geology, history was second to none and engaging despite the volume of information provided.
His guidance throughout the course was brilliant as he never pushed anyone to do anything they weren’t confident to do but would gently encourage those who wanted to get stuck in. I was also really impressed with Craig’s passion for sustainability as he explained his rationale for why things should and shouldn’t be done in certain ways.
Of course, getting to taste the foraged items at the end of the day was a highlight!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this course to absolutely anyone if visiting the area (or visit the area especially for this!).

We had a fantastic day with Craig. It was pouring with rain most of the day but that did nothing to spoil our excitement and Craig’s enthusiasm. He regaled us with such interesting stories of his travels and the coastline and made us really notice what was under our noses. We learnt to dig for all sorts of clams and cockles, find shrimps in rock pools, gather mussels off rocks on the most beautiful stretch of beach and gather tasty vegetation to complement our finds. The highlight of the day was obviously cooking in a little beach cove and we enjoyed a delicious two courses with the addition only of some Welsh salted butter. Just a wonderful experience all round! Highly recommended.

We had a brilliant day yesterday coastal foraging with Craig having wanting to go and forage by the sea for a very long time!
I'm so glad I booked the course, Craig is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, the environment, the human impact on our sealife and of course the vast species that live on our shores (and abroad). We learnt so much and it was heaps of fun.
We were given lots of brilliant tips and recommendations, it makes a huge difference knowing where and how to start foraging.
Craig even cooked an amazing bowl of prawns, Cockles, muscles and clams at the end of the forage which were delicious!
We highly recommend booking foraging courses with Craig, and we are now going to book the low tide course as we had such a brilliant day!
Thank you Craig!

It was an excellent day from the moment we met in the Kilkenny car park to the time we left Craig and family 7 hours later.
The day was an extreme low tide forage and it was. The tidal range where we went was very large, over 25ft, and it was astonishing.
It was one of the hottest days of the year, so Craig ensured we were equipped with water and sun cream. He was knowledgeable about the tides, geology, sea life, seaweeds and the flora and fauna of the shore area.
He also gave us a brief history of the area and then the geology of the bay.
We foraged and with his guidance ended up with cockles, muscles, razor clams, soft shell clams, prawns, white bait, spider crabs, velvet crabs which we then watched him prepare, cook and we eat. The best from my perspective was the raw razor clam muscle that was delicious and not chewy as often expected.
A brilliant day, hosted by a very knowledgeable genuine chap with a gift of including everyone. Thank you Craig

We went on the Foraging day for my partners birthday. It started out wet and as good as Craig is he could not control the weather, it was fine as an hour later it was nice warm and sunny.
Craig's knowledge is amazing not just about foraging but the geological side of things too we could have listened to him for hours.
I would recommend this experience to anyone you don't have to be a keen forager as it's all explained in layman's terms.

What a great day and birthday present. The most interesting, informative, beautiful and tasty birthday I've ever had! We were well looked after by Craig, whose knowledge and enthusiasm are unparalleled. Our 9 and 7 year old boys were more then entertained from 12 until 7. An experience that will stay with them forever, no doubt. I couldn't recommend this enough - what beauty we have on our doorstep and what hidden gems of nature we look past so often. Craig opened our eyes in the most modest and unassuming way.

A brilliant day. Craig is a walking encyclopaedia about everything foraging!
We learnt so much, will never walk through woods or a beach without looking for things that can be foraged.
The locations were beautiful.
And at the end of the day, we ate a delicious meal of our finds of the day.
Thank you.

What a fantastic experience! Craig is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and I would strongly recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for a unique and fun way of learning about sea life, the Welsh coast and geology! We foraged so many different ‘jewels’ from the ocean, and Craig cooked them for us. Sitting in a cove on the beach and enjoying our finds was perfect! We also loved meeting Llew, Craig’s dog, who is a real character! Best day!

Some friends and I did coastal foraging with Craig on the coast of Wales. It was a great day, Craig brought us to a stunning beach and made it quite fun to catch everything. Craig is incredibly knowledgeable and made it all so interesting. Definitely a great day and a unique experience. The seafood was also delicious that we cooked at the end of the day!
