About
I'm Craig, It gives me great pleasure taking people out on foraging and educational walks along the beautiful and productive coastline of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. You will receive a very warm welcome when you attend one of my courses . Since learning to read I have actively sought out as much information as I could about life between the tides and its varied environments. I was born in Carmarthenshire and I feel privileged to be able to showcase what we have here to the wider world.

You certainly get your money's worth. We had a full day from 10.30 to after 6.00pm. Craig is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic it is infectious. The weather towards the end of the day was not good but cooking the food on the beach made up for that - it was delicious! Plus I took home around 20 kilos of mussels and a few oysters - again both superb.
All together a great day - mind you the dog was the entertainment - a proper lively, noisy loon.

An amazing full day course with Craig at Coastal Foraging. My partner brought us this experience as a gift as I am a real foodie, love South West Wales and have a passion for organic and foraged food. This course did NOT disappoint! We spent 8 hours along the beautiful Saundersfoot coastline learning so much about the surroundings, seaweeds, shellfish etc. We foraged everything from Razor clams, prawns, truffle seaweed (which was amazing!) mussels, rock samphire and soft shell clams and then cooked it all on an open fire on the beach at the end of the day with beautiful welsh butter and wild garlic. Delicious! Thanks again Craig, we thoroughly enjoyed our day with you and your lovely doggy and will recommend to anyone visiting the area! Jess & Aaron

What a fantastic experience! Craig is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and I would strongly recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for a unique and fun way of learning about sea life, the Welsh coast and geology! We foraged so many different ‘jewels’ from the ocean, and Craig cooked them for us. Sitting in a cove on the beach and enjoying our finds was perfect! We also loved meeting Llew, Craig’s dog, who is a real character! Best day!

What a great day out with Craig and Llew yesterday. Craig’s local knowledge of plant and sea life, geology and local history made this an unforgettable experience. Foraged shellfish and seaweed and was served up a fabulous feast of freshly gathered produce. Took some mussels, whelks and oysters home and feasted again this evening. Diolch yn fawr.

Thank you Craig and Llew for a wonderful, entertaining and informative day foraging. A present from my daughter, probably the best present I’ve ever had. Hard work but very rewarding followed by a sumptuous sea food meal.

I took my partner for his birthday as he loves foraging and has done a few courses before. We both absolutely loved this experience! Even though it rained, we still collected wild garlic, caught prawns and picked mussels. He showed us how to dig up razor clams and was very knowledgable about everything to do with the sea, coast and wildlife. The meal he cooked us was incredible! Highly recommended.

What an awesome day, from digging up wild garlic, picking rock samphire, seaweeds and collecting mussels, soft clams and prawns plus a few cockles and then cooking them on an open fire. Every sense was awakened despite the rain. Thank you for a great day

Craig was very knowledgeable about the sea-life, geology and history of the area.

He gave us an excellent insight to foraging on land and on the shoreline. Everything that was foraged by our group was cooked in an environmentally friendly way. Our catch included razor clams, soft clams, mussels, prawns, wild garlic, rock samphire.....it was a really tasty dish. A perfect end to an enjoyable day.
