Highly recommend. I took 6 kids out on the boat and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Initially the enquiry and booking at the little hut at the harbour was great. Lovely lady that explained everything and didn’t add any sales pressure at all. We booked in a matter of minutes and left a deposit.
The boat was on time, ready and waiting for us when we went down to the beach. We boarded and the skipper soon got us moving. He fully explained to us all what to do and away we were.
The catch was fruitful thanks to the skipper who moved the boat a couple of times to give us the best catch opportunity. We all caught at least one fish. The kids all left the boat with a smile and their tea in hand.

A great time aboard skipper couldn't have done more to find the mackerel. It was the last trip of the day (booking office phoned to apologise for running late). We ended up being out for 2 hours and up until the last 10 mins we had only caught one mackerel but thanks to the persistence of the skipper all six of us came home with carrier bags ull of mackerel. Thanks for a great afternoon in lovely sunny Tenby

Super trip. Our first time Mackerel/ sea fishing and my two daughters (11) had a great time catching loads of fish. Skipper was excellent taking time to show us how to fish and helping out when all 3 of us had 4 fish on at once. Well organised - booked via phone few days before and had reminder text on morning of trip. Will definitely be returning for another trip. Keep up the good work

Excellent trip. Great value for money. Booked a few days in advance. Lady on the phone was really friendly and also gave us a courtesy text on the morning of the trip which was a nice touch. Told to arrive at the harbour 30 mins before to collect tickets and then directed down to the beach. All ran very smooth. We were complete novices (2 adults, 7 yo, 3 yo) and the skipper took the time to show us all how to do it. It was really very easy to pick up and my 7 year old caught 4 at once. Definite childhood bucket list memories made for both of my children. I’ll never forget their faces / excitement when they pulled something up. Absolutely fantastic experience. Cannot recommend this boat / skipper / company enough. Class operation.

Went with Tenby fishing summertime boat. Family of 4 with an 8 and 6 year old. £20 a head x4.
Kids never fished before but lad watches it in YouTube and has been on at me for ages to go.so he was super excited.
It was a 90minute trip with our 4 and another group of 8 on board.
In the 90mins one fish was landed which was not a mackrel and thrown back in. Not bothered by that, just bad luck, you can't guarantee the fish.
But, I would not recommend this trip to young families. They had no kids rods. Neither kids were offered rods, the 8 year old had to ask about 5 times before reluctantly being given one. The 6 year old just got bored.
They should have told us before the trip that this was not suitable for the kids, especially as they charged them the same amount.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, firstly please let me say how sorry I am that you did not enjoy your trip with us, we make it our aim to provide a fun family experience so to have read your review this morning was a little disheartening. We do encourage our skipper to show the adults and children how to use the rods correctly, before asking the adults to monitor their children until they are confident with the rods, the rods have 5 individual hooks so safety whilst using is key, we rely on the parents to advise us when children are confident and ready for a rod of their own and one is always issued, so to hear your child seemingly had to ask 5 times seems very out of character for our skipper as nothing gives him greater pleasure than seeing children fishing and hopefully catching their first fish. I will of course take note of your feedback and pass to the team to ensure that all those that come on board summertime in the future enjoy the fun family experience on offer.

What a great experience from start to finish … this was the highlight of my children’s holiday. The skipper showed us what to do and then we had a go. Weather was perfect and the skipper moved to a different spot when weren’t getting many bites on our lines. Big shout out to the young chap Jack who helped us several times, with our lines and the fish we caught, he was fantastic ! Thank you Jack. My boys caught 15 mackerels and a gurnard which had to go back. We had a lovely morning fishing and the time went so fast. Highly recommend booking a trip. It’s already on my boys to do list when we return to Tenby. Thank you all.

The staff were very pleasant and the booking was easy. This is published as no age limit but is not suitable for small children as the rods are too heavy for our nearly 6 year old. After being shown how to let out the line and reel in, the trip then comprises of over an hour jerking the rod up and down, which was quite tiring for Granny! Not many people caught anything on our day which is just the luck of the trip but it made it very boring for the children as we also had a 2 year old with us, especially as the trip to the fishing ground was only a few minutes long. Under 3 not charged for.
Also I had to ask for life jackets for the children, which although it was calm we wanted to set an example of good practice on the water. The skipper was more interested in getting out to sea than any health and safety and there was no evidence of cleaning for covid.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, We have put lots of covid measures in place, all rods and hand rails are cleaned before and after every trip, there are hand sanitisers available at the office as well as on the boat, the Skipper has a visor and it is up to the guests if they wish to wear one, we have designated areas on board for each family group/bubble and there is a minimum of 2 meters between each group which means taking less people onboard. There are life jackets available for everyone and this is explained once invited on board during the health and safety briefing, again this is upto the guests as to whether they wish to wear them or not. I am sorry to hear that the rod was too heavy for your son, if this was brought to the attention of the skipper a lighter alternative would have been offered. The skipper is aware that the trip is only 90 minutes long so he tries to get you to the best fishing spots to give you as long as possible to fish, as with fishing it is pure luck if you catch but am pleased to hear that people did on your trip.

This was our second time with this company and can’t praise it enough! Skipper was fantastic with both our children (4 and 8 year old) and took the time to check everyone was comfortable / untangling our lines etc. Really nice chap. Definitely recommend. Already looking forward to next years trip :)

What a fantastic experience we had fishing with Tenby fishing Centre. Peter- Lence- and Both Jacks were world class services provided in all in all . We were 12 peoples total fish caught 37 . Most of us new fishing though on boats. We will never forget Tenby fishing.

We booked this trip as a present for my brother who likes fishing, and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. The lady who booked with was pleasant and happy, very good communication skills and prompt to reply to any questions.
The boat was surprisingly big, with very good floor space, and can accommodate people of all ages. Sufficient room to hold on and feel safe.
The Rods were easy to use and the views were spectacular.
The skipper (Nigel) was such a nice genuine guy and got involved helping us .
We all managed a good catch which was exciting, it was the highlight of our day!
We didn't keep the Mackrell, but you can take them to cook on the bbq should you wish.
Fantastic experience, can't wait to do it again
Prebooking is essential , and cash payment on arrival.
Be sure to try this trip, you won't be disappointed.

Hi Sparkle18, I recommend you contact the people who do those trips from St.Davids (see below). We didn't list that on our site! (who did??) I have tried to get it removed but failed...sorry for that, hope you see the cetations. We do see Dolphins and Porpoise quite often on our Mackerel fishing trips but sadly not often enough to do trips, I hope that helps.
