Good to stop for a cup of tea after a long walk. The cafe is large and friendly . The park itself is good for the family and the children to have a run and feed the ducks

I know any park struggles in winter but to call it a Botanical Gardens is slightly overstating things. There is an aviary, average cafe, lots of space to walk your dog. Maybe a summer destination!

The Southport botanical gardens are not particularly botanical but are pleasing and house an aviary. The fernery is fascinating. OK cafe/bar with Morris dancing when I was last there.

Never visited here before, but it was a pleasant hour walk round it - nice lake and planting - all credit to the volunteers who maintain it throughout the year.
