The Pier is well worth a visit while in Southport. Not sure how long it is but looking along it, it appears to disappear into the distance. There’s a miniature railway runs it’s entire length so it’s accessible to everyone.

We took an early morning walk and found it windy. Disappointed the tide was out but can’t be helped. Some services open at the end of the pier. Worth a visit.

I believe it does but it depends on the weather. So I can't confirm yes or no on the day you go.
