This is a lovely pier, however you cannot access all of it. A long pier but the part that goes out to sea is inaccessible.

Nice walk out and then ride the tram back. Enjoyed the facilities at the end of the pier. Nice way to spend a few hours.

Well worth a walk on a clear day, views of the Lancashire hills to the North, the lakes over Blackpool and the Welsh hills to the south.

The planning office have spoilt the Southport seafront by allowing the monstrous out of town type center with cinema and bowling. The pier takes you down the middle of this and just when you reach the sea the pier is closed for repairs!

Not much to be gained from a walk, or Noddy train ride, down the pier. You will get closer to the sea but that's about all.
