Wonderful Park

Bit of a surpise finding such a wonderful park, gardens and facilities away from the centre of town.

Lovely park with a huge lake, playground and ice cream shop. My nephew loves it and demanded that we jump on a bus to get there.

A lovely little park. A bit under maintained. A waterfall that hasn't been working for over 2 years. A spectacular ornate fountain inside the entrance. A 800m walk around the lake or a 1,300m walk around the perimeter of the park. A good café serving...More

Visited Southport last week and hunted Hesketh Park out after at least 30 years. What an oasis of calm and natural beauty! The lake, rose garden and characterful entrance is wonderful. How anybody can say its poorly maintained is beyond me- its a great asset...More

A few years ago the local authority spent million upgrading this park and seemed to have failed to bring about any improvement as it still looks run down. This could be a beautiful park but currently it is not

A beautiful park with really interesting parts. The lake with its bird life. The rose garden. There's a lovely playground with a nice cafe. There's an atrium with interesting plants. The "senses" is a must area to go.

Could be a nice garden, however, dogs which should have been kept on leads were running around loose and jumping into the lake annoying the wild life. Very weedy in places, sensory garden was a disgrace.

It has a gym trail that you might find in most parks, all equipment was working last time I was there and it proved fun to do whilst enjoying the parks other attractions. Hope you enjoy it.
