Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This tour was one of the best we’d ever been on. We learned so much history from Steven. He went over and above what we expected from the tour. We also loved meeting Molly at the end! “Team Canada” highly recommends this tour!

Thanks very much Max and thank you for moving the time slot to help me lose against my 80 and 70 year old Uncles in our annual game of golf! It was a pleasure to meet you and the German Family that gained a wee story here at Stirling Bridge. Hope you enjoyed Bannockburn as well :) We are blessed in Stirling for our History. Safe passage onwards around Scotland ♡ Cheers Steven and Molly

Steven is a very knowledgeable guide but is also just a good bloke. He is passionate about the history of his town and his country. He went above and beyond to make it a great experience and we are so glad that we took the opportunity to take one of his tours. A real must if you are visiting Stirling. Thanks to Molly for being a great Guest Relations Manager!

Hello Rick and Wendy, I hope you are safe and well. Molly and I had to do a wee bit of investigation to work this review out :p Your name doesn't appear in the review on Viator. I went on to Tripadvisor and Richard appeared. I have no bookings for a Richard :-/? But Adelaide ... had Imentioned that this week? No it was nearly a month ago and I remembered our paths crossing outside Stirling Train Station. You guys are definitely in our top 3 bizarre Tours over the past 4 years, but we loved bumping into you both and welcoming you to Stirling and Bannockburn. We hope you enjoyed Guns N Roses in London and say hello to my Dad's great Uncle Sir Walter Watson Hughes at Adelaide University. Take care and all the best to you and Wendy ♡ Kind Regards, Steven & Molly

Steve gave a great tour and went above and beyond to make it a rich and meaningful experience. He lives for the subject matter and imparts his knowledge and passion. He was kind enough to drive me back to the train station and continue the discussion at the local pub. I highly recommend the tours of Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn!

Hi John, it was a pleasure to welcome you to Stirling Bridge and then include Bannockburn as a bonus since it was just the two of us. I rarely go straight to the pub after a tour, but that was a memorable pint you had. Wimbledon Final was 1 set each and 3 - 1 to Alcaraz when we sat down and 20 minutes later when we left it was still 3- 1 in the 3rd set! The game lasted longer than one of my stories! :p Thank you for visiting Scotland and Stirling. The kettle is on for your next visit. Take care and haste ye back, Steven and Molly

Great tour with Steven, it’s obvious he loves his country and it’s history. Very informative tour of the battle at Sterling bridge. Take his tour before you go to the Wallace Monument, it makes the monument more interesting!

How can you come to Stirling and not visit the site where the Battle Of Stirling Bridge took place? Forget Braveheart, that's Hollywood, this is the real McCoy. Steven was fantastic; knowledgeable, interesting & passionate about his subject. This was my personal highlight after a whistle stop tour of Scotland having been living down south for so many years. It was fantastic and a privilege to see my family taking it all in, I know I took more from this than they did, but I'm biased. My only disappointment was to hear how low the figures were to actually take time out and find out about this battle, after all, in my opinion, this is where it most likely started. Why came to Stirling and not? Thanks again must go to Steven a true Guardian and a definite pleasure to meet.

Hello Steve, Thank you so much for taking the time to give us a wee visit at Stirling Bridge. Yes sadly only around 3% of the visitors to Stirling visit the Auld Brig and stand on the Battlefield where William Wallace and Andrew De Moray's fought their most famous victory. It was a pleasure to welcome Teresa, Harry and you to Stirling ♡ All the best to Harry in his studies and safe passage homewards to Bedfordshire. Next trip, pop in for a cuppa :) Cheers Steven and Molly

We recently took a group of military veterans on the William Wallace battlefield tour in Stirling in the company of Steven our guide and his Labrador Molly.

It goes without saying that Steven knows his history and this fairly laid back tour is conveyed with his obvious passion for this period in Scottish history. We covered the historical facts and we literally covered the ground, our group thoroughly enjoyed the tour and we have booked Steven again for his Bannockburn tour. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your kind words and for breaking the record ....including the two Mollys, we had 14 on tour. The group helped make it laid back and questions and additional information from the group made it a learning experience for me as well. Thank you for thinking of us and we look forward to welcoming you to Bannockburn on Wednesday ♡ All the best Steven and Molly xx

I would highly recommend this tour, Steven was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting, he was incredibly helpful in advance of the tour with a great welcome pack of information on where to go and what to do he had lots of information and some great local singers on his iPad along with loads of other great information on the tour. He also took our photo and send this on to me along with other additional information on where to eat and entertainment for the evenings we were staying. We tried out his recommendations and had a fantastic time in Stirling, the people there are really friendly and helpful. Thanks again

Lorna and Graham, thank you so much for braving the elements to remember our Superheroes from the Battle of Stirling Bridge. It was a pleasure to welcome you both to Stirling and glad that our food, music and walking suggestions were accurate. Stirling is a great place to visit and our local bars, restaurants and musicians do us proud. See you next time and we can walk around the Battle of Bannockburn. Kind Regards, Steven and Molly

A terrific tour and guide - Stephen gave me the warmest welcome on the coldest of days to the Bannockburn site, beloved of both him and his gorgeous dog, Molly. His passionate and brilliantly informative tour of the site was fascinating, insightful and freshly told in Stephen’s own words - no hint of a spiel. It was balanced in content to include songs and poems, lesser known facts (eg on unsung heroes and heroines), and even some competing theories on how the battle was won. He went above and beyond to respond to all my questions - of which I had many, being there on a research trip. Highly recommend - any time of year!

Hello Lesley, Thank you so much for your review / kind words. Apologies for the delay in replying. TripAdvisor used to notify me when I received a review and maybe I've changed a setting by mistake? Sorry for the delay. It was a pleasure to welcome you to Bannockburn and loved your enthusiasm and questions about the heroes of the day and the debate over the location of the Battle on Day 2. Good luck with your research and thank you for what you are going to produce in the springtime to entertain us. All the best for your play and the future ♡ Kind Regards, Steven and Molly ♡
