Dominating the skyline for miles around, Stirling Castle is a shining example of Renaissance architecture. Visitors can look out from its high stone walls to the battlefields of Stirling Bridge where great medieval armies clashed to decide the fate of nations. Home to generations of Scottish monarchs including, Mary Queen of Scots, the Castle is an enduring and powerful reminder of our fascinating history.

While I love Edinburgh Castle this is my favouirite castle because it was more of a home than a garrison and it is stunning. Just a real favourite place to visit - stunning views too

Really nice castle, not as much to see as in Edinburgh but as good. Easy to access and close to city centre. Very good on a nice day.

I was visiting with friends. Really enjoyed. We got to the castle around 3pm. We have seen Royal Apartments and Wood Carving Gallery. Stirling is a very interesting place and the castle and the monument is well worth the visit and both give lovely views of the surrounding countryside and the the hills and the villages near by and the university near by and the wee county

Its worth visiting but it is cold and windy so wrap up warm .Nice ground and a excelant view. Have your camera handy plenty of views to take photos .Don't visit in strong windy days or heavy rain save this for a good sunny dry day.
