Dominating the skyline for miles around, Stirling Castle is a shining example of Renaissance architecture. Visitors can look out from its high stone walls to the battlefields of Stirling Bridge where great medieval armies clashed to decide the fate of nations. Home to generations of Scottish monarchs including, Mary Queen of Scots, the Castle is an enduring and powerful reminder of our fascinating history.

Easy to access either on foot from within Stirling and close to the trains station. Beautiful structures with a great history. The audio guide was really helpful to get the most out of the visit.

Stirling Castle is a highlight tour. It holds the most history for Scotland, and it's well worth the visit. Though the castle itself is not highly furnished or decorated, or even particularly large, the sweeping views are stunning. The tour guide was outstanding. He was...More

Take the tour with a tour guide to get the best out of your visit. A great day out - and you will need quite a time to see everything. Many different areas within the castle grounds - the Great Hall, Royal Chapel, Royal apartments...More

Apparently there is regular bus service from Stirling city centre to the castle that runs every 15 minutes but you can also take a taxi outside the station.
