Not been in for a year or so but this really is a wee hidden gem of a museum with great little exhibitions and displays. Also has a lovely wee café. Well worth a visit every now and then.

An eclectic collection of artifacts amassed by Mr Smith and local history. Essentially a small local museum-plus. Worth a visit if you're near the castle, set aside an hour or so.More

The cosy little museum has artifacts from every important era in Stirling's history. I appreciated the artwork and the modern works of art they were preparing--quilts!! Amazing!

The Bannockburn display was first rate. However the main room is just a mess. It looks like it has not been updated in the past twenty years. The wonderful collection of pewter is just dumped at the back. What a pity!More

Thank you for your review, unfotunately we are not a church, but the museum and art gallery on Dumbarton Road. I think you visited the church of the Holy Rude http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g191266-d534366-Reviews-Church_of_the_Holy_Rude-Stirling_Scotland.html Which is in deed a beautiful church with outstanding stained glass windows.
