The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Museum tells the history of the Regiment from its early formation as the 91st Argyllshire Highlanders and 93rd Sutherland Highlanders to the present day. It holds objects and archives which trace the history of the Regiment and those who served in it. The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Museum, based within Stirling Castle, reopened after an extensive transformation project in June 2021. Wonderful and powerful museum.
The museum was very well done and provided great insight into this historical Highland Regiment. Exhibits laid out well with informative text. The museum is quite extensive covering 3 floors so plan accordingly! As two of my great uncles served in this regiment during WWI, I thought it really helped me connect with what they did and the pride they had in this regiment.
Thank you for such a lovely review - I will certainly be sharing this with the museum team. We hope to welcome you back in the future - Caitlin, A and SH Museum Team

    A little gem
Visiting the museum was one of the reasons why we were here in Scotland. The museum didn’t disappoint, it’s a great representation of the regiment and its life. It shows how the regiment used Stirling castle as its base and the way it was integrated into the local society. There’s great exhibits that show this and its participation in numerous conflicts it took part in. A great day out and well worth the trip.

    Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders Museum
Yesterday I visited the Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders Museum at Stirling Castle. What a memorable visit, it was beautifully laid out with so much information from their history over 200 years. The highlight of my visit was speaking with Alan Carmichael, who so generously spent time with me, and whose colleague Catriona was able to uncover the medal citation of an uncle who served in WWII. Their enthusiasm shone through and they were keen to share their knowledge, which I very much appreciated. Thank you

Traveling with kids can be tough. Adding the Lego hunt was the perfect addition to make a museum setting more fun for kids.

The museum is wonderful with very nice helpful staff and an amazing display of Argyll & Sutherland Highlander historical artifacts . There are also a series of Winter Lectures covering a wide range of topics delivered in a very professional way by a range of guest lecturers and former senior officers at the museum colours room , full marks to everyone who is involved its a very unique experience attending these events
