Open again over Easter weekend. Live performance tours run every 30 minutes during the holidays with a chance for new inmates to also explore the cells and take in Stirling's best views from the roof top observation tower.

We came by twice but missed the tour, so just had a look outside. Think it would be good to come back to.

lots of culture and history, great nature, sports facilities(golf and not only), lovely and busy old town. Definitely worth visiting. The atmosphere is also fantastic. Real unicorns joint.

We visited as a party of 4, and enjoyed ourselves so much. All the staff are a credit to this venue, from making us feel welcomed, to keeping us fully informed on waiting times, with cheerful 'banter', but, the real treat was the guided tour...More

Don't expect a museum in the "static" sense, as it's not. The presenter (yes, there is one) will take you in a tour where he will incarnate several characters. You will learn a lot, but not without some chuckles and smiles.

We really enjoyed our tour, this is definitely worth a visit. We had the last tour of the day on a cold dark December day and it was very atmospheric. The tour guides were extremely welcoming and knowledgable not just about the jail but about...More

We really appreciate your kind feedback and it's great to hear that you managed to visit during our first festive weekend opening. We will be open again next Easter and during the summer holidays and hope that you will visit again. Many thanks, Geoff

The live tour was epic. The actor/your guide was awesome. Stayed in character and created an interactive theater experience while teaching us about the jail. Amazing view from the top. Make sure you do this in Stirling.

The Old Town Jail is open over Easter weekend (30 March - 2 April) but then will be closed until the end of June. You can still explore outside the building and take photos when the attraction is closed. Many thanks, Geoff

Hi Natalie - the Jail is open from the beginning of July. We are running some preview tours the week before so keep an eye on our online availability just in case. Geoff
