    Superb venue for families
Amazing venue to take the children in the nice weather. We visited yesterday with our two grandsons and who is 4 and a 10 month old . Firstly busy to park on a Sat, but a little wait, and we got a spot , and it's FREE parking on a Sat too. A little stroll over the lovely pedestrian bridge into a beautiful well equipped park ,with cafes and toilets. The Lido is here too and once again Free ! For children. It's slot booking (so you have to book well in advance for tickets). It has heated pools , we had an amazing day ( helped with the sunshine) congratulations to the powers that be and the people of Pontypridd on having an looking after and maintaining an amazing outdoor place to visit for families.

    Excellent facility- well done Ponty
I took my children here after school. We went to the family fun session. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pools had plenty of life guards on duty and I felt my eldest daughter was being watched vigilantly on the inflatable. She fell off at one point and the lifeguard was there to offer her a pole to hold onto immediately. The grounds were clean and we witnessed the staff begin their end of session clean as we left which was well organised and thorough. Music was playing and it was a cheery atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Still had fun in the rain
We had a great time here with 2 kids (12 and 10) despite the rain. The water was heated to a nice temperature which made the windy rainy day more bearable! There is an inflatable course and inflatable wheel you can have a go on, music playing so nice atmosphere. If it’s a sunny day you can use the loungers. The changing rooms outside are basic but okay and one negative was that the lockers didn’t seem to really lock properly. Lifeguards and reception team were fine. I think the best thing is the very reasonable price. We will look to go again in better weather, I expect it may be more busy!

Lido Cafe-I had arranged a children's event for a peer parent support group. Trains changed to bus replacement service, torrential rain, Stay and Play place closed when we had reserved a table. The cafe and staff were wonderful at accommodating us to do a teddy bear hunt, some dancing and game playing! The children had a great time. Great selection of food. Pizza delicious, waffle chips yummy, great coffee and fantastic healthy/veggie selection. Staff and Chef are so freindly and helpful that I am very grateful you saved the day! The pool and Lido is of course gorgeous and it is good to know there is a room to hire above the cafe. Thank you!

This place is such a gem! Came with my 12 and 9 year olds and they both absolutely loved it.

As well as a pool to swim (although too busy to do lengths) there is an inflatable obstacle course, a inflatable zorbing ball and a cute splash area for little ones.

There are lots of lifeguards and all of the staff are so friendly and helpful. It is phenomenally good value and feel incredibly lucky to have this so close to home.

Booking is a bit of a pain as you have to know when the tickets are being released for the whole month and be able to go online to book within 30 minutes of release in summer season… but totally worth the stress of trying to book. I would highly recommend!

Nice outdoor pools. However, they're spoilt by block bookings. It's very difficult to book a session. I looked for a session early today, and every child session is booked out until the children go back to school. Pre-Covid. Only 70% of sessions could be booked online. The other 30% were available to people who queued at the door. Now, it's all online and people are block booking every date available. I've spoken to members of the Lido staff, and they have confirmed that this is going on. Some days, the pools are not full, but all the available spaces have been booked by people who have not bothered to turn up, for whatever reason. If everyone had to pay in full to book online, these block bookings would stop.

Brilliant pre booked online after trying for a while. 2 adults 2 children.
Had never been before simple booking procedure when we arrived we waited outside for our time slot and was given a changing room number which was ours to use whilst there. Changing room. Was spotless and antibac outside door to each room.

Pool was lovely and warm and again spotless. Staff in checking in and poolside lifeguards were great polite , efficient and good with the children, couldnt fault them.

Quite a drive from us but we will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Given up trying to get a slot. It's always booked. I've heard by people doing block bookings which they don't even use all the time. Selfish. Doesn't look all that anyway, will find a better one more accessible!

This is a really lovely community pool in a beautiful park. I went for the first time today and it was great, clear covid controls and private changing areas. It’s has 3 pools, 25m outdoor pool, a separate inflatable pool and small children’s pool. The people (staff and other swimmers) all very friendly. Parking is a challenge so leave plenty of time to park and walk to the lido. The lido has lockers that need a £1 coin to work and there is a clock to help keep track of time. Remember the time and date you’ve booked as you won’t get an email confirmation.

Right from the outset, this is a well run, well maintained, totally stunning Lido. My daughter and I travel around visiting as many lidos as we can. We were mesmerised by how totally beautiful this one is. The town should be so proud.

I've been taking my children here for years and we loved it. We were gutted when it was flooded and closed. Finally able to book and even thou my girls are teenagers, we love it still as I said even when it rains. It was lovely to have a reminder email, welcoming us and reminding us of our upcoming visit.
The British weather did not disappoint and upon turning up in the park, promptly threw it down. My girls are too old for the play area but the other kids were having a lovely time. We were hiding under the porch area, trying our best to keep our sandwiches dry. Our visit was booked for 2.15 and we started to queue from about 1.55. During this time the rain stopped. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. The Lido itself is beautiful with plenty of sunbeds (not that we needed them) and plenty of changing areas on the poolside and inside. The water temperature was lovely and it was great to be able either to swim in the swim lane or play in the main area. The girls still loved the inflatables in a separate area. Thank you to the Lido for keeping the costs down and making this such an enjoyable visit for everyone of all ages.

We visited today, wevd vern quite a few times over the years. Gorgeous pool and it's clean, tickets are cheap as chips too. However our visit today was spoiled by a few things. Kids were bombing in the deep end, right next to life guards who did nothing. Some selfish people hogged the changing huts, we saw them locking them from from the outside by reaching over the top!! It was also extremely busy, I think they over book it.
