Great park with plenty to do winter and summer. Great woodland walk connecting with nature. The Japanese garden with ponds always a bonus to walk through. Kids always have fun with the many play areas.

Young children are well catered for in Happy Mount Park. There. are giant tableau illustrating well known scenes from stories and films. Trampolines are also available, as are crazy golf links, further into the park is a miniature train going around a circular track.

Well worth a visit, specially if you have children. Lovely play areas and small train for them to take a ride on. Lots of different things but still lovely quiet seating areas. Duck pond and also a cafe.

The park was in its autumnal mode so the flower gardens were past their best but the ducks in the Japanese gardens were an amusing distraction. The café served some warming and refreshing coffee so overall an enjoyable visit.

No, it would be a very long walk, but I'm sure buses run down the promenade. The station is towards the west end and the park is at the east end. Hope this helps.
