The viewing of the house is limited. We did the 11am tour which was worth doing. You don’t get to see a great deal but it is still very good. The volunteer guide done well although some questions could not be answered but she is...More

We started off buying tickets, we was not told that you couldn’t view all the house in fact not even half the house. All that was on offer was a few Hall ways and a few rooms. Found one member of staff rude. The grounds...More

My partner and I visited today and were very impressed with the gorgeous building, the picturesque environment and the fantastic staff. The surrounding area is full of great walks and it was lovely to see deer roaming around, even in the pouring rain! Well worth...More

Knole itself is a beautiful house, the grounds too. However, it was not worth the £8 to see 6 rooms. The guides also were not approachable and friendly, they also weren’t as knowledgeable as other National Trust places. The quiz wasn’t enjoyable at all and...More

Unlike other 'stately piles' such as Penshurst Place which has a large well maintained garden, Knole sits incongruously in semi wild parkland. The interior of the house is confined to the rooms leading off from a long gallery. After entering via the courtyard into The...More

What an amazing place! The house in itself was amazing. What an amazing collection of art and antiquities. The National Trust staff are on hand to answer any questions and are very knowledgable. A trek up the tower is well worth it, as it has...More

Knole is undoubtedly one of the jewels in the National Trust’s crown. Intriguing, historic, dazzling, the house has been at the heart of intrigue for centuries. Knole has recently benefitted from an extensive restoration programme, some of which continues. The Knole Conservation Studio has been...More

I can’t comment on how much you can fit in one day, but Knole Park is an easy walk through the high street from Sevenoaks station. I would say no more than twenty minutes.

Admission to the house is £8, there are some paintings worth seeing and the house has a fascinating history. All in all a great place to visits.
