I have shopped at Great Danes for a number of years . It’s a fantastic shop stocking a wonderful variety of mostly Danish/Scandinavian things to buy . I always spend more than I should when I go in as there are just so many useful and stylish things to buy . At Christmas time you can find great gifts and there is something for everyone . I can also very much recommend the Glerups slippers they sell .. they are so warm and comfortable ! Today I used the website to shop which is very easy to navigate and my order was ready collect really quickly . When I did go to collect .. of course I ended up buying a few more things .. the Danes do Christmas exceptionally well !! The couple who run the shop are both really welcoming and friendly in store too .

Always a pleasure to shop at Great Danes, best experienced in person, as it really is a cornucopia of beautiful things. If you can’t make it in person fear not the online service is fantastic; items are delivered quickly, well packaged and beautifully gift wrapped if you desire. Friendly, professional owners and staff who are always happy to try to source an item they don’t carry.

Omg we have just had the best afternoon, we went into a quaint shop on Connaught avenue, whilst in there we got invited into the patio area that is outback of the shop. We ended up staying 3 hours sipping on Magarita’s and Long Island Iced Tea’s, great music, attentive and friendly bar staff (be warned he will keep offering you shots).
We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent shop full of beautiful and practical items. My mum in law is happy to drive the 90
Minutes there just to visit even though she can buy online. There is a bar ba hind which I’d love to try as looks so cosy.

This is one my favourite shops. It’s full of beautiful things from jewellery to mugs and glasses all in the stunning Scandinavian style. The perfect place for a special gift or a beautiful item for your own home. It also sells the best slippers in the entire universe! Glerups are the warmest, comfiest and stylish slippers I have ever owned. Pure wool felt that comes in lots of colours. I cannot recommend this shop and it’s slippers highly enough!

I have visited this shop twice and again online to buy the bits I had been thinking about buying. Absolutely lovely homeware and slippers and accessories. If you’re not very local to the area have a look online. I bought my Christmas for other people and myself in Great Danes. Every day I think of this lovely den of goodies and the wonderful people who own it when I use my Great Danes Labrador butter dish!

Whilst visiting Frinton beach with the family we found this wonderful shop filled full of beautiful homeware and gifts. I couldn’t help but treat myself to a gorgeous bracelet. Will definitely be back and looking at the online shop.

I came across this lovely shop by chance when visiting Frinton. Great products on sale. I bought a beautiful teapot for my daughter in law and will probably buy another one for myself on line. Very friendly owner and care to protect customers from covid 19.

One of my all time favourite shops. Not only do they sell the best slippers in the world, they have the most beautiful items for all occasions. Top quality at great prices. B, Mike and all their staff are so lovely and very helpful. They have an amazing patio bar venue out the back and now also a stunning flat available to rent. Just wonderful and cannot recommend it enough.,

Seeing all the lovely George Jensen goods displayed. I went to Great Danes a few years ago, there were no sweets on sale then. Now there are plenty of Danish favourites including Anton Berg chocolates.
