Wonderful place to visit, something for everyone with play areas, games and live firing. Make sure you wrap up warm though.

Trincomalee is the star of the Royal Naval Museum, Hartlepool. Our guide, Stuart, was knowledgeable and very good at presenting his subject. The rest of the museum is full of interest, with shops, ships' chandlers, exhibitions and so on. There are interests for the younger members of the family, games such as quoits on the jetty, and food! The main... More

Thank you for your review, Its great to see you enjoyed your visit. The tours of the HMS Trincomalee have been introduced for the winter period and proved successful from customer feedback. There is wheelchair access on the Trincomalee via a lift to three decks which does surprise some of our visitors. We hope to see you again soon. More

HMS Trincomalee is a historic fighting ship docked in the Historic Quay in Hartlepool and looks wonderful in its historical surroundings. I was warmly greeted on board and offered the chance to explore the ship at my own pace using the easy to use Audio Guide. This was ideal as the audio presentation was informative and gave me a complete... More

It is surprising that HMS Trincomalee is not better known outside the region. It is remarkable that a boat of this age survived in the water long enough to be restored to the excellent condition it is now in. The visit may be enjoyed in two ways. First, for children and those with a more general interest (as opposed to... More

Historic, interesting and a good attraction for the town, however, expensive especially for a family.
