We could have spent all day here, but due to time limitations we managed to cram in a very enjoyable 3 hours. What an amazing property! Lots of people to answer questions and provide loads of information. Well worth the visit and we would definitely go back if we return to the area.

As full NT members, we have visited and enjoyed many properties. During our Xmas stay in Bodmin, we visited Lanhydrock and thoroughly enjoyed the time there. The grounds are huge and suitably cared for, with the christmas display in the inner garden particularly attractive - trees shaped like the wine in a glass were intriguing! The interior had been decorated... More

Lovely place for a stroll. The house is nice but we were disappointed that not many rooms were open, it did not say that before we got our tickets. Staff all very friendly and enthusiastic.

We visited just after Christmas and the rooms we laid out in a festive manner. Parking was easy and the walk to the house no problem. A couple of our older relatives took the shuttle bus. From the gatehouse to the gardens this is a very good two or three hours. I imagine it is great when the gardens are... More

We visited at Christmas and several of the rooms had a Victorian Christmas theme which was very interesting. We parked at the lower car park near the bridge and walked through the woods to the house. We also ate at the restaurant which served local Cornish pasties.

The house visit is really good - so many rooms to see , and lots to learn. We had a quick stroll around the gardens, also enjoyable although rather a lot of begonias for my liking.

It was a dull, rainy December day, but we loved the place. There is a nice modern café adjacent to the main carpark and then a little shuttle bus that will take you, if feeling lazy or fragile right to the entrance of the main house. Once there, lots of things to see and do, and bags of shopping, albeit... More
