I went to the museum with my wife and teenage son. Entry is very reasonable (£15 total). The museum is larger than I expected, and goes across a wide time period and has lots to see, including uniforms, medals, weapons and personal effects of soldiers...More

The museum is very interesting. It is in the old barracks and it is home to some very interesting objects - even a 100 year old biscuit!

There's a lot more to discover than you might expect in this museum, and plenty to keep everyone in the family interested. Friendly and helpful staff and volunteers too.
