Great castle to visit indoors in the Autumn. There was archeological dig going on outside and the staff gave fascinating insights into the finds.

Visited the castle again in Autumn just to get that fantastic Scottish winter is coming feel. The grounds and gardens provide a perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of Aberdeen. We took one of the long walks in the forest around the castle and...More

This place is so full of history. The grounds are some great hiking trails. The gift shop offers a wide variety of items. The cafe/coffee shop has an welcoming atmosphere. The castle itself is by far one of the best I’ve ever visited.

Hi Michelle, Dogs are not permitted in the buildings unless they are assistance dogs. They are of course free to enjoy the outdoor areas. Hope to see you soon!
