Had a lovely few hours at this impressive wee castle outside of Banchory, Aberdeenshire. Inspired to join the National Trust for Scotland as this is one of several castles in the NE of Scotland and I plan to visit them all! A roaring fire greeted...More

Lovely little castle and two walks, a forest walk and a hill walk, takes just over under hour to complete. Join the Scottisch with a 7 day pass for just 10 pounds extra; quite the deal considering amount of local properties in the area.

Stopped off while in the area geocaching, a beautiful place with great walks, only wish we had more time to explore the castle and gardens.

Just popped in for a coffee and shop for a birthday present...Coffee shop and restaurant is great. The actual shop is a little pricey but you will always find a gift and cards and wrappings. Friendly staff too

This beautiful castle is more like a family home. It is full of beautiful paintings of family and Scottish royalty and antiques from all over the world. Don’t miss the gardens and chapel. If you are lucky you may see a wedding on the estate!

I visited Drum Castle with my boyfriend, and we had fun running around this fortress. The furnishings are lovely. The castle has been kept in excellent condition by the National Trust. There are personal touches from the prior occupants that make this fortress seem more...More

The castle is very interesting and there are beautiful gardens plus 2 or 3 interesting walks in the area around the castle. The cafe serves very good food and all in all make for a lovely visit in a lovely area of countryside.

I think you might have the wrong review. We visited 6 weeks ago and gave it 5*’s saying picturesque views and lovely grounds. Staff were good too, from what I remember.

Yes there is a big parking, I cannot remember the cost either... I think the nearest location would be outside the castle grounds or along the alley, which are not too far, I mean you can walk.
