The Fox and Duck is a small pub just a few minutes walk from Richmond Park and the river Thames. Recently rejuvenated we offer a mixture of a great locals pub and somewhere visitors can be sure to be treated like a local. A small kitchen so the fare is simple but always fresh, tasty and prepared by skilled chefs.

Had a family gathering for family from oz, reserved a table which was very easy, the food and service was spot on absolutely lovely food, got to say there pizzas and the chips are so good, open mic was on the Friday starting at 8pm which was good entertainment

Stopped off here for lunch on a family day out and it was great. The service was very good (we had 3 young children) and they were very accommodating.
Excellent food, big portions! Yummiest chips I think I’ve ever actually tasted!

Have gone past many times over the years and never felt compelled to pop in.
Luckily today with our 3 year old daughter we did.
Lovely staff, lovely food and good beer on tap - what’s not to like!

We last visited this pib some years ago and it was a dump. It has improved out of all recognition.the interior has been completely revamped. It now comfortable and is clean with some sparkle. The service is now friendly and welcoming. Serves a decent pint of cask ale

Lovely pub, very friendly staff. Fab location, near Richmond Park so we stopped off halfway through our walk for a drink. Charlie at the bar made me one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had, with great chat! Will defo visit again when I’m in the area. 100% recommended

Oh Bruce!
You were so full of promise when you revamped after Covid but it has all gone horribly wrong. The F&D was a place to avoid in previous years as it was full of foul-mouthed and aggressive people who drove anyone not of their ilk away (and this in the nicest part of the nicest borough in England). We went in there a few times after you opened and the food was good, the decor spotless and staff making every effort.
Last night we tried it again and what a difference. So disappointing. There was one occupied table inside with a group of women swearing at the tops of their voices and using not only the f word but also the c word (something I had never heard from a "lady" before). As it was a pleasant evening we opted to sit outside. The table behind us was taken up by a small group shortly afterwards - two of whom felt it appropriate to have "music" - if thats what a noteless dum dum dum dum beat is - playing on two different phones. They all were smoking heavily without regard for the clouds blowing over us and the language would have made a sailor blush (and this as much from the women as the men). The crowd grew to 9 people, causing us to be pushed almost into the hedging. Not a word of apology each time we were jostled. We had ordered food and were starting to eat, otherwise we would have moved. A respectable-looking middle-aged couple came and sat down near us and after just a few seconds of nose-wrinkling disapproval got up and went away. As soon as we had finished we paid and left.
It sounds elitist, but these people were awful - the poverty of vocabulary (there are adjectives other than those beginning with F) and load of offensive behaviour rather leads me to believe that the old crowd has re-occupied the F&D. Unless the new owners do something I fear we are going to revert to the drugs, drunkeness & violence that characterised the old F&D. DO SOMETHING QUICKLY

We ordered from the lunch menu. The halloumi was very good, the olives and artichoke was disappointing - tasteless with a few bits of artichoke added. The dips with sourdough were fine, but nowhere near enough bread so could only scoop up half of the dips. So I popped in and complemented the hallouimi and asked if we could have a little more bread please. Was told yes, no problem. Waited and waited... Eventually when asked was told only one person in the kitchen and sometimes it is not possible to produce what was requested, ie bread that needed no prep. Not good enough!

This pub is great, a real gem! It was clean, with reasonably priced drinks and good food (try the German hot dogs and sticky toffee pudding).
The staff are friendly and funny. There are lots of locals and dogs are welcome. The music is a good volume (not too loud at all) and the decor is nice.
Lovely experience all round :D we will be returning!

A beautiful pub near Richmond Park.
The staff were all so helpful and polite
We sat outside and had a Sunday Lunch.
The patio area was covered and there were heaters.
My only slight issue was there was a lot of gravy on our dinner which could put some people off.
