A genuine Free House selling real ales brewed by independent breweries, from all over the UK. Farm house ciders for our apple loving friends. We also stock wines which have been selected by the experts at Majestic Wines. So with all bases covered. Its all been wrapped up in and old Victorian coach house which has been tastefully decorated to enhance all of the features. Which most pubs have seen ripped out over the years. The place is a must

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent selection of draft beer and cider. Good selection of bar snacks. Proper feels like a pub vibe. Eclectic mix of young and old, talk of white pizzas in October. Difficult to define why but Pizzas are slightly crispier - therefore better than when last reviewed.

It’s a really good authentic pub with an excellent selection of beer and cider that also serves really authentic properly made - bases made from scratch - pizza. I already liked the pub but with the addition of pizza my wife and child are totally on board. The garden has a roof so if you are worried about the weather don’t be.

A wonderful local pub, good selection of beers, great kitchen serving pizza and salads. Almost very welcoming, nice chilled out crowd. A hidden gem if ever there were one

Came in to London from Berkshire to meet a friend who introduced me to this delightful little local pub - The Barman ( Welsh born lad ) was very friendly and was very knowledgeable of his wide array of Craft beers - slowly as the afternoon went on more locals came in - which generated a friendly and warm atmosphere- a pub for folk that like a good drink and warm surroundings - well worth a visit .

This handsome looking boozer is off the beaten track. I’ve been for a drink in Richmond many times but never seen this place before. But having said that, it sits in the middle of council estate, so that’s probably why. It feels far from the buzz of the town centre or the riverside, but it’s actually only a five-minute drive away and parking was easily found outside the pub.

This being Step 2, me and my two companions were only allowed to sit outside the pub. There’s a fairly big beer garden round the back but we were sat at tables at the front. I need to make the familiar gripe about pubs I’ve visited lately: unfortunately, there were no outside heaters, so this unusually cold May we’re experiencing meant that, by the end of the night, my toes felt like they were getting frostbite.

The staff were friendly and attentive and the punters seemed like a laidback crowd. As other reviewers have mentioned, the prices seemed high for alcohol, however my ginger beer (they don’t stock any alco-free beers) was reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a break from the bustle of Richmond high street, the Mitre is a place to go for a more quiet drink.

Visited with a large family party and ate on the outside terrace. The food was good but service fairly slow. Not too bad and a good riverside location.

Awful place. No kids after 5pm. What century are these people living in? Basically a depressing, soulless old man’s pub.

Great “proper” pub. Welcoming, good beer & cider selection, sensible wine choices.
Friendly staff, excellent pizza is the cherry on top!

Very very expensive,£5.70 for a pint is over the top even for Richmond. This once lively locals pub now boasts half a dozen people on a Saturday evening as clearly even the wealthy residents of this town cannot afford such prices. Lovely pub but there doesn't seem to be another pub in Richmond or even the West End that is as expensive as this.

Went to this pub to see a couple of free music acts. Pleasant, clean and moderately busy, and the music was excellent. They have a cute dog and the whole place was dog-friendly (several others came in while we were there). However the price of drinks was shocking - I did doublecheck on being given my change, £14 for a G&T and half of ale! I won't be back at those prices.
