We met at Kew Bridge and our guide, Paul, took us along the river, through the gardens of Chiswick House where we stopped for a delicious lunch, then back along the river to Hammersmith (with a quick stop at a fantastic deli). It was a long walk but thoroughly enjoyable. There is so much history in the area and some gorgeous houses. As in previous tours, we learnt interesting facts from thousands of years ago right up to the present day. I'm really looking forward to joining another of Paul's walking tours; they are always thoroughly enjoyable and fascinating.

I grew up in Twickenham, but having learnt some fascinating facts on the Discovery Richmond Tour, I knew the Twickenham Walking Tour would also teach me things I didn't know about my hometown and I wasn't disappointed. Paul knows all the history and interesting stories from ancient times to the present day, and told us a lot about Twickenham's 1960s rock & roll heritage. I was amazed to discover that there was a Neolithic village under the car park next to where I'd worked for five years! It was lovely to go inside Orleans Gallery too.

The Richmond guided walk was excellent. Our guide, Paul, is a real local enthusiast with a wide knowledge of the area including its Tudor past, architecture and recent cultural associations. We did the walk with a group of friends. We were able to have the walk paced to suit our group and include refreshment breaks as required, making a complete day out. Excellent value and thoroughly recommended.

A superbly paced walking tour of Richmond with Paul who is a sensational tour guide.
The tour took us on a meandering tour from Richmond Train Station to Richmond Green, Richmond Palace, the River Thames path, Terrace Gardens, Richmond Hill, Richmond Park and Petersham Meadows.
Paul’s affable manner and ability to intersperse the areas deep history, musical significance, flora and fauna, as well as snippets of salacious gossip made this a highly enjoyable walking tour.
Paul raised the bar so high on this tour that it made me want to tap into his knowledge some more and book onto his other walking tours.
Highly, highly recommended!

We had a fabulous informative walk through Richmond with our guide Paul. He was so knowledgeable about historical events but interspersed it with snippets of where rock stars once lived and played. We especially enjoyed seeing where Ted Lasso was filmed. It was amazing to see the glorious view from Richmond Hill and well worth the climb even on the hottest day of the year! Excellent ice creams at the end.

Paul, our guide, was an affable, knowledgeable, history buff, who led us at an easy pace and pointed things out en route. We wove through backstreets, ambled down river towpaths, crossed ornate Victorian bridges, passed Tudor royal residences, but the highlight for me was finding ourselves in a secluded Queen Anne square. It was like stepping back in time. And all whilst being shown the backside of an almost lost London. Fascinating. Time just flew by, and before we knew it we were in Richmond, the end of our walk. I had such an enjoyable time, I would heartily recommend it.

I bought a private tour from Richmond to Twickenham for some friends’ birthdays and 6 of us set off with Paul our guide… And what a great day we had - he was great - SO knowledgeable and SO patient with our constant interruptions and nonsense (which got more frequent after we kidnapped him to have lunch with us in a local (historically significant) pub!) He entered into our fun and was a charming host for our walk
We learnt so much but we also had a really great time - and along with so many dates and facts he truly did know the best ice cream parlour in Richmond
