Nestled in the heart of the Rhodope Mountains, the Yagodina Cave is key, beautiful and vast, be sure to try the natural sweet ones as well!

We had a lovely time walking around the cave, it's really long and took about 45 minutes to walk through it. There are some impressive formations. The guys who run it originally said they wouldn't take any less than 6 people at 7lv per person (3.50) but they said if we gave them 30lv they would give us a tour. The guide didn't speak good English so I had lots of questions but couldn't ask them. He was friendly enough to show us things that were novel. The main thing was the bats...they were fabulous and there were plenty to see which would be great for kids. Easy enough to access but there are steps and lots of low points to look out for. Worth a visit.

A great cave to visit, cool on a hot day outside. Outstanding stalagmites and stalagtites. Sadly the tour information was not provided in English so we did not learn anything at any of the multiple stops on the tour. There are also no photo allowed, it would have been great to be able to record the rock formations but it would also have slowed the tour down significantly if we had all been clicking away. FYI it was very cold, so take a coat!!

Beautiful "young" cave. Everyone had a great time, and our tour guy was very educational. This cave is must on the bucket list, and because we like it a lot, we decided to repeat the tri next year.

Yagodina Cave is 8,501 meters, which makes it the 4th longest cave in Bulgaria and the longest in the Rhodopes. It's one of the youngest caves in Bulgaria. There are several different galleries. One of them is known as New Year’s Hall with a real Christmas tree in the hall. The next hall is The Wedding Chapel, where you can marry. One of the strangest things there are cave pearls - they are formed as real pearls are, beginning with grains of sand that fall into the water and then are are coated with layer after layer of calcite, year after year.

I liked my walk in the cave very much! Our guide was friendly and full of information. He told us a lot about the history of the cave and he also informed us that people can get married in the cave. :) There are stalactites and stalagnates in the cave and also cave pearls. It's a lovely place to visit!

Great cave. The trip lasted for around an hour or 1,2 kms. There are 4 tour guides inside the cave, who give interesting details about it. It is very hard to go to the cave. Sometimes, there is a traffic jam and the visitors should park 2 to 6 km before it and walk.

A very nice cave with many beautiful formations. Long accessible route (1.2 km) which is easy to follow. The gorge leading to the cave is amazing! (check out the operating times before visiting)

It is a considerably young cave (for a cave), however, it is one where you can see everything. There are stalactites, stalagmites, stalagnates, a strange formation resembling leopard spots. The best of it all was cave pearls. I have never seen something like them before and it is definitely worth seeing.
