Great spot for a walk

We killed a few hours walking along the trails. Parking was easy enough, although this was mid-winter. There's some nice spots for a roast around abouts too.

So many walks, cycle tracks, horse tracks to negate, a lovely day out in the open countryside no matter what the weather is doing. Great paths and a good visitor centre with cafe.

I am assuming that most parents know this as a reality my children have tablets consoles tv's and generally are almost impossible to separate from said devices, truthfully it is the same with us adults . On Monday i took advantage of some down time at work to spend half a day... More

I took my wife and 3 year old to Delamere to see if we could find a Gruffalo in the deep dark wood. Unfortunately, the main thing we found was well over 50 bags of Dog poo scattered amongst the side of the pathways. I have nothing against dogs, or responsible dog owners. Unfortunatly these were massively out numbered by... More

Delamere forest is a really nice place for a walk with different routes to take. The reason for rating only 4 out of 5 is the expensive parking charges, especially when you can end up just parking on a grass field.

While staying at the nearby caravan park we went for a walk in the forest and took my litter picking equipment with me, within an hour I had completely filled the bag and had not collected any of the bagged dog poo strewn about all over the place (why do people go to the trouble of picking it up and... Lovely walks well managed without losing it's charm Can get busy with some inconsiderate dog owners. Only well trained dogs should be let off the lead

This is a fabulous place for walking, absolutely beautiful. We visited yesterday and found that, unlike most places we walk with our dog, the trails here were, in the main, not muddy, which was a huge bonus for us. However, we found the parking charges by the visitors' centre extortionate. How can £2 per hour, £4 for 3 hours and... More
