This forest really is for all who have a yearning for the outdoors. There are good toilets, a cafe, a shop and parking ( pay & display ). It`s for all ages, with zip wires for the more adventurous. There are band music days/evenings for teens and the younger folks, normally held outside. There is a rail station next to... More

I visit the forest a lot whether that's for a run or a nice walk. It's much better early because you have so much more freedom and even when it's busy there are lots of trails and paths that get you into the deep parts of the forest. There are wide paths as well which are more suited for family's.... More

I've been visiting Delamere forest for over 40 years and it's still great. Whether it was been taken by my parents as a child, a field trip with school, mountain biking in the 80's, a romantic walk or more recently just strolling around on my own; it's always a brilliant day out. You can walk for an hour or half... More

We had a fabulous day jumping in muddy puddles and seeing the Gruffalo. The walk trail has wonderful signage which encouraged the kids 2,4 and 6 to keep walking so we had really good exercise in a wonderful setting.

Visited just prior to Christmas to buy a Christmas Tree and visit Santa in his Grotto. Fabulous choice of trees at a fair cost comparable to most retailers. Good choice of Holly, Wreaths, Mistletoe, Pot Grown Trees, Tree Stands etc. Friendly and very helpful staff. Then visited the refreshment tent serving a good variety of locally sourced produce. Delicious burgers and... More

Went for a post-Christmas walk to Delamere Forest in Cheshire. At home the sun was shining but when we arrived at Delamere it was foggy. However, the longer walk we chose was wonderful, quiet and very atmospheric in the fog. Well signed paths made it easy to follow the walk. An excellent walk to let your mind wander.

Visited with three children to meet santa. Qued for over 2 hours but santa was as real as could be and well worth wait. Then enjoyed a cuppa n some chips while warming hands on beautiful log fire. Lovely day out and surroundings added to magical day of meeting santa.

After a beautiful walk in the forest we decided a hot cuppa and something to eat would be nice so headed to the 'Christmas Fare' tent next to where the Christmas trees are sold. What a let down the only thing on offer was bacon sandwiches or burgers hardly 'Christmas Fare'. So we headed for the Station house cafe, and... More
