Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The lady in the tourist office was very helpful. Provided a number of leaflets with walking routes in the Monts de Blond. Purchasing the IGN maps is a good idea. Also suggested a really nice cafe/boulangerie Baron Freres 24 Rue Thiers. The river is nice and there is a lovely old bridge. The church is dimly lit and characterful

We have recently moved to Bellac (great place!) so have been in here often. They have good wifi, which we used while waiting on being connected here. We weren't allowed to take dogs in so had to take turns to go in. Staff are helpful in both languages! Some interesting stuff on show but info usually just in French, I am learning so need to read it. They have a great public loo outside but every time I have been there it is closed for something or other. They do close at lunch time which I find odd but that is normal for the small town in which we live....

After driving for 2 hours we were desperate for the toilet. The sign advertised the tourist centre had toilets, however they were closed, so we rushed up the street to other public toilets (dire - no seats, no loo roll, no light, cold water, no paper towels). The tourist centre is quite big, the people at the front desk did not seem forthcoming (might be the lanuage barrier). We then entered a room with touristy items and arty displays, in the corner we found the brochures, however most were in French (they might not get many English speakers this way). We got a map and a brochure in French for Le Dorat and took ourselves off quietly. We had said bonjour! when we entered - but not much response. Perhaps the person was there just to take the cash if you bought souvenirs?

Not open the day we first called, despite the sign saying it should be. Not much information volunteered when we did go back, didn't seem much enthusiasm for telling us about the area.

A nice enough place, with lots of brochures of things to do. Staff helpful and all I have met speak better English than my French. Useful wifi too, which is good but sadly our dog has to stay outside so we sit on the concrete outside the door.

I am coming to Bellac next year with friends for a birthday celebration and wondered if there are vegan friendly restaurants nearby? Thank you in advance for any information you can give!

Hello my husband and I plan to visit 13th August, my husband would love to visit a farm stocked with limousine cattle. Is there any such option available?
